  • Me too, me too, 3 stone would be good, but maybe a tad optimistic. It's the regular kick up the b*m that I need, as just tooooo easy to nibble on choccies & then forget they ever passed my lips

    I started yesterday, I'm doing weigh-ins on a Wednesday.

Maybe a list of names and losses can be recorded each week? I think that is what they do on the Lose Weight threads on MSE?

Yea.....motivation is definitely the order of the day. I'm one of those people who gets inspired by others' success, so a weekly weigh in and list of losses (though not gains) would be brill.

I have been eating for Britain today on the basis that I'm starting this diet soon so better shove all I can down my neck before I have to start accounting for it :D

Ok ~ you gotta count me in on this.

I need to lose about 2 stones and MB at LEAST 3 stones. He's easy as he will eat one of three things:
    • what I buy
    • what I cook
    • what I tell him to cook
However, I'm a bit thick and a bit tight so I wanna get my head around it first. We are currently on an eating less/better diet and I think I'm about 2lbs down already.

I'm doing loads more walking and as soon as the bloody tax man sorts MB out he will be investing in the exercise bike.

So, *we're* in but not in a 100% *SW* capacity just yet :D:D

Hi, please can I join in?

I was talking about Slimming World to a colleague this week and she recommended I buy a book off ebay. Only I haven't managed to get one yet and I really need to lose weight NOW as I have a wedding to go to in a month's time. I'd like to lose about a stone eventually but would be happy if I can get rid of 10lbs by then. I do tend to lose weight quite quickly once I put my mind to it.

I've never done SW before, only WW so I don't have a clue what all this red and green stuff means. Well, I know you have to have red days and green days but I don't know what I'm allowed to eat on those  Am guessing it's not broccoli, sprouts, lime jelly one day, tomatoes, peppers and strawberries the next, lol :rotfl:

I'm copying the recipes on here into bigoven and tagging them as SW but I think I need to buy a mag to keep me going in the meantime.

I can't get one right now so what do you think I should have for breakfast tomorrow so I can start right away? I have special k, weetabix, some other flaky things, bacon, eggs, mushroom, porridge.

Oh, and I will put £5 each week towards my 0% interest credit card to keep it DFW! :D

Thanks everyone, brilliant timing for me. :T

Shall we do weigh-ins on a Wed?
I'm not any good with charts/graphs etc so may have to pass that duty on?

If people want to pm me their losses once a week, I don't mind keeping them all updated on a Word document and posting it once a week (I know people will post their weight losses on here, but I will get confused trying to trawl through the thread for them....lol!).
