What I noticed about your menu here, is that you have olive oil down as free when it's actually a HEB, so that, in fact, you've had 3 HEBs today.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Has this changed? It says in my book that only extra virgin olive oil can be used as a HEB.0 -

Sorry to disagree (because I don't really like doing
) but I would say 2.5 litres was really the maximum you should drink, rather than 'at least' that much. You do need plenty of water, particularly if the weather is warm, or you have done a lot of exercise, but drinking too much can actually be dangerous, and can lead to low salt levels and water intoxication - people have even died from it, including one fairly recent case of a woman dying after taking part in a water drinking competition to win a Wii.
The advice to drink 2.5 litres apparently came from an article in the British Medical Journal in to 1940s, but the article was saying this is how much the body needs in total per day, so it includes the water content in all your food, and even coffee, tea and alcohol."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

General advice now is to have about 2 litres, which can be made up of squash, tea, coffee, fruit teas etc. I agree with drinking more fluid when on a green day otherwise all that pasta can sit, but its really important not to over do it, very dangerous. I find its better to follow your body and its ques, for instance if you are feeling thirsty then your body is already dehydrated, you need to get in with a drink before you feel that thirst. I recently tried a week of drinking at least 2 litres of water and it was awful. I was tired, had headaches and was really nauseous so I cut it back to my normal amount and just had an extra glass of water and was fine, its finding whats right for your body.
If you are on the scan bran then make sure you have plenty of fluid, you do not want that sitting anywhere in your system :eek:0 -

General advice about water is confused and not really based on a great deal of science."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0
