Thanks to those who have PM'd me their weight loss targets, I will update the spreadsheet this evening when I have some free time.

I have been so good since weigh in on Tuesday. I am having a gathering tomorrow night with some garden fireworks and I plan to do some Jacket potatoes, hot dogs for the kids and a large pan of quorn chilli and rice.

I will then be able to join in with the merriment (1 glass of wine syned) and fill up on chilli and rice.:D

Planning ahead is the key for me, otherwise I will be "led into temptation"

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all
Been reading randomly for a while. I've been going to the classes, with vouchers I got from my GP. It will cost them less in the long term to send me to classes than treat all the illnessess I'm going to get (perfectly healthy and all results normal now though!), apparently!
In the first 12 weeks I lost 1st 5lb, and about 15 inches off various parts of my body, so having dropped 3 dress sizes I had to go shopping so stuff didn't fall down!
I'm now on week 8 of my secong lot of 12 I've only lost 4lbs, I've been yo-yo ing, and I'm panicking!
Because my classes are paid for by the NHS I feel obliged to make it work. I feel great about what I've lost so far but I seem to have lost ALL self-control.
Money issues are all I can think about at the moment. I took the bf to the airport on Sunday (after a week in which I was horrible cos of money stress), and I can't stop eating. It doesn't help that he brought a huge box of treats from home for the kids!
I just finished DS No3 toast, 7 sysns, and I'm supposed to be on five a day!
Frankly I just want to cry.
Any advice and tips would be greatfully received! Honest!
Although if anyone else tells me to get a grip and tel me to think of folks in Zimbabwe I won't be responsible for my actions:mad:

Thanks for your reply, I have agreed a target of 5 syns per day with my counsellor to try to get a kick start! I too start the week with my total then count down.....all used up now:cry:!
Also the bf brought a big box of goodies from home when he came a fortnight ago, mainly for the kids, but it's like having a whole sweetie shop in my house:mad: . I have now put them in a bag and placed them in the living room cupboard. Having an open plan house may now be to my dietary advantage!
I'm afraid that i loathe the options things, so chocolate fix not available.

  • Hi
New to SW this week, have done ok through the week although I keep getting myself in a right state about what I am going to eat.

Tonight though I am going for a curry with friends.
Looking in my book, I can have a lamg rogan josh for 6.5 syns, it doesn't say anything about chicken, would that be the same?
Also could I have a seekh kebab if they have done it on the coals and not fried it as that would be just meat wouldn't it.
    Also I haven't had any b choices, could I have a chapati.

I know my first week and already having a curry but am trying to do it as syns but am stuck, I need to get ready to go but I am too busy thinking about what to eat. I like my curry with sauce.

    Thanks
    Jules

I think Chicken is the same as Lamb on the syn front I reckon its the sauce that is being syned in the book.

I dont know about the chapati though as I have only joined group recently myself.

I would enjoy your meal, make sensible choices and draw a line under for tomorrow.

Would you like to be added to our spreadsheet to track your progress? If so PM me your target and a weekly update.
