I would love to be able to run that far! I've just started running, just getting my trainers on and jogging the school run. I've only done it twice - first time at the end of last week (Thurs/Fri - can't remember) and it was terrible - had an asthma attack half way there and walked quite a bit of it. Today, I only stopped to cross the busy main road! Felt like my lungs were on fire at first, but by the time I got to school, that had stopped and I felt like I could have run further.
I might even venture out to try a 'proper' run when I build up the courage!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

yay for you. when i first started, i used google earth to plan about 1 mile, then I walked for a minute ran for 30 seconds, walked for a minute.....
now I am doing about 3 miles in about 40mins, with just a small walk in the middle (the uphill bit)
gonna try for 4 miles from tomorrow. 10k is about 6 miles so have a little way to go.
unfortunately it means my thinking is - that i've been for a run so now i can have a treat! lol - (hence the slow down in weightloss)
have just roasted a chicken - will put in slow cooker in the morning with some veg so will have nice hot casserole for a few nights. also have bought some bananas and necturines. and a bag of mint imperials for when a sweet tooth is needed.
have a box of weetabix as well for breakfast and some mullar yoghurts. so i think i should be all set.
have a great evening everyone - see you in a week!!0 -

Breakfast - boiled egg, 2 wholemeal nimble (HEB) teaspoon light butter 1.5 syns.
Lunch - OH finished work and brought me a bacon and egg barm from the local bakery, I didnt think it would be too bad as bacon grilled and egg didnt seem to greasy then I looked up the syns for the barm it was a massive 14.5 syns.I can beleive it so now I have gone over my syns for the day.Im gutted.
but thats not all then I had some asda cheese puffs havnt looked at the syns for these.I feel like im never going to lose this weight, I feel quite despondant today.0 -
Hi there just been reading your thread, sounds great. Have been going to group for 5 months now and lost 1 1/2 stone. Am really trying hard to cut down on spending and am glad to know there is a group online (but without the cost) - will defo stop going to group and put pennies in a pot for something nice at next target. Do you have a specific weigh-in day?Weightloss 2013 = 3lb/40lb

red day today.
My night out in Leeds (no 'purple day' for drinking purple cider !!!) plus the 2 large breakfasts plus TOTM just starting is going to mean a disastrous weigh-in tomorrow.
Over the last year, I've started to really suffer with water retention - half a stone is not unusual and last week I bought some water retention tablets. I got on the scales this morning and they read a 2 pound gain, let's see what tomorrow brings.
rellaella - no, no particular weigh in day, just whenever is convenient for you."Stay Wonky":D

Thanks, will stick with Thursdays but morning instead of evening - always weigh less in the morning!!!! Looking forward to saving myself a fiver each week x
re: water retention, I know it might sound funny but do you drink enough water during the day? It is supposed to flush all the toxins away and help the other organs work properly. I suffer too and really notice when I don't drink enough.Burlesque_Babe wrote: »red day today.
