well its weigh in day today and i just took a sneaky look on the scales and they say i have stayed the same, but my scales are half a pound lighter than hers, so hopefully after lunch and drinks i might have only put on a pound or so, i will be well chuffed with that and will get straight back into it.
CM.. i dont have any strategy to follow after weigh in im just gonna get back on with the plan, i saw you mentioned success express is that in the book. ive only ever followed the green and red coz if it works why change it but if the other one can speed up weightloss i might just give it ago. i must get my books out again and have a good read before i restart tomorrow.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

hello all, I'm back
I'd never deleted this thread from my subscribed threads but I need to climb back on board.
I go on holiday 10 weeks tomorrow and I'm fighting a mixture of
'must lose as much weight as I can weight in 10 weeks',
mixed in with
'must lose LOTS of weight in 10 weeks' and then panic because it won't happen
and
'well, if I lose some weight, is 10 weeks enough for it to make any kind of difference?'
However, I have to grit my teeth and think, whatever I lose is a bonus. For some reason, last time my body just didn't kick into action over the 5 or 6 weeks I stuck it out where when I did the veryfirst time ever, it dropped off (and I didn't nothing different)
So, my aim is to lose 20 pounds in 10 weeks. I have a HUGE amount of weight to lose which is why even 20 pounds is a drop inthe ocean.
I must lose weight before my holiday though. I must. I've been looking at videos of where we will be staying and I get really excited. Then I think about how overweight I am - no parading round in a swimming costume for me !Then I kind of kick myself for being so stupid to get to this point in my life (again) and get despondent.
However, I will NOT get despondent. I've just found my book from when I went to class in 2004/05 (when it really worked for me and I lost 25 pounds in 10 weeks)
I WILL be starting tomorrow. I've a few things in the cupboard I can have for lunches from my last attempt to get me going and chicken and pork mince in the freezer for a couple of night's dinners. The only thing I really need is some cereal (HM bread has been my breakfast lately)

Hi BB, not seen you for ages :rotfl: .
You can do that, I will be your cheerleader! I have to say what made me go back to SW was feeling like a beached whale on holiday and nothing feeling quite right when I wore it. I have to say it put a black cloud over my holiday.
I weighed in tonight at SW and I lost another 2lb and thats 8.5lb in five weeks and I feel so much better, it would have been better to do it before I had gone away but oh well, it was the kick start I needed.
Wonder if anyone on here can help me though, someone mentioned a quiche to make with pasta and sauce, eggs and cottage cheese. Has anyone got an idiots guide to make it as I am an idiot and I need step by step instructions. It will be for my lunch tomorrow on a green day with a salad, then I will have sausage (synned) mash and beans for tea tomorrow.
I gave myself a mini challenge of losing another 6lbs in 3 weeks:eek: , in time to wear a glamorous dress for a wedding!!!
Good luck BB - You can do it!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hi Sammy, i found this one on the SW website and tweaked it for you.
This pasta dish really is as easy as pie! Enjoy these filling and tasty wedges for supper or as part of a loaded lunchbox. Add a Healthy Extra serving of cheddar on top if you fancy a cheesy covering.
Serves: 4
Syns per serving:
Free on Green 3.5 on Original
Preparation time:
45-50 minutes plus standing
8 spring onions, finely sliced
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
6 tbsp bottled roasted red peppers,
drained and finely chopped
4 eggs, beaten
198g/7oz very low fat natural cottage cheese
Pack Pasta n sauce made up and left to cool
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas 4.
2. In a bowl mix the spring onions and garlic with all the remaining ingredients, season well and place in a medium-sized non-stick cake tin. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the eggs have set and the top is golden brown.

Hi everyone,
well i got to group tonight not feeling too bad and was confident that i hadnt gained too much when to my suprise i found i had LOST 3.5lbs, i discussed everything with my consultant and the only thing we can think of is there must have been some underlying factor as to why i gained 2.5 last week not down to food and it has come off this week so all my naughty food didnt do me any harm, though i wont be doing it again. when i think if i had stuck to the plan this week i could have lost more and broke that stone barrier, which i intend to do next week.
i am in a fantastic mood now and determined to follow the plan at least 90/95% next week as i can never do it 100%.
I have now lost 1 stone 5.5lbs and have dropped 2 dress sizes. WOW.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -
Thanks Herewegoagain, I have been eating since I posted but I am just SO hungry now, very odd!
Burlesque Babe, my biggest shock was how slow the weight loss was 2nd time around. I so wasnt prepared for it and there were weeks where I wondered if it was the right time, as it just wasnt happening. Im so glad that I stuck it out, its been painfully slow but I am getting there. Stick with it, even on the bad days/weeks and you will get there too.
Right, my day!
Went red in the end, but dished dinner up in the success express ratio.
28g alpen (HEB) with vff nat yog, banana, blackcurrants (ss), redcurrants (ss), raspberries (ss) and blackberries (ss)
