Had a difficult few days, started off on Wednesday, our wedding anniversary, went out for the day, had decided beforehand that I was going to go off the rails abit. Anyway, was feeling quite proud of myself as the only blip was an (admitedly large) 99, but it was my lunch, so I wasn't feeling too guilty. My problem was we walked for about two hours at the hottest part of the day and I finished up with blisters on the soles of my feet, and on both little toes, then we went to get the weeks shopping and at the end of all this I could hardly walk. Felt very miserable and finished up with Chinese takeaway. Unfortunately I had a appointment with the dentist Thursday, I don't drive and the dentist is completely off the bus route, also had to go into the next town by bus, so I finished up walking another couple of miles one way or another, got drenched too just to add to the fun! I felt so bad once I got home I took myself off to bed for the afternoon. Anyway, because I could hardly walk I didn't prepare any proper meals but just picked at whatever was easiest, finished up having a load of carbs, toast & cereal, did manage some fruit as well as it was easy to eat but my heart really wasn't into it. My feet are still very sore and I'm really not in the best of moods today, once again I've started on the toast. I can't weigh myself at the moment because that involves standing still on a hard surface for a certain period of time and I just can't manage that just now. Anyone got any remedies for blisters???

Hi Tizzzzy, i feel for you i really do, i walked hadriens wall a couple of years ago and my sisters feet got covered in blisters and we were told to soak her feet in vinegar and water, we were dubious at first but at this point she would try anything so we could continue the walk, we soaked her feet for a long time and it really did help it seemed to harden the blisters so they wernt as painfull and we were able to finish the walk.
give it a go what have you got to lose.

Wow ive oversynd myself for once! Thanks cleosmum and well done on your weight loss you are nearly there now.
Thanks cleosmum and northern lass for the pm! about that which should not be spoken.
Im feeling very commited at the moment, I was talking to my friend today (who lost 4 stone last year with SW) about how good I was to begin with then had lots of social events and went well off track, she said "life got in the way then?" that was so true.
My next event is a wedding at the end of the month, do you think I could drop a dress size in 4 weeks? that is my challenge, as I am only 5 feet I find it hard to find nice trousers that fit so I want to get back to a 16 and I can then buy some from a petite range.
    Ive been good today

Breakfast - brown roll (HEB) poached egg, grilled bacon, tinned tomatoes, teaspoon of lurpak 2 syns.
Lunch - brown roll 6 syns, tuna and salad, strawberries.

That was the marinade, it was gorgeous now I know the syns are so low Il be having it more often and enjoying it.You made my day, I wonder if it would be nice on fish??

Maintaining is good though!! Well done! I use weeks where I maintain as a kind of 2nd chance and think yikes, must kick self up bum. Just have a think about small positive things you can add in, like extra fruit and veg, or cutting out bread, it all helps :)

Shal, life is hectic here at the mo, havent managed to eat properly again, been too busy. I must plan for tomorrow, or I am risk of a bad weightloss through not eating enough again.

And I shall have some alcohol tonight, need a little treat, and def need to unwind after this week!

    Day undecided.....

28g Alpen (HEB) with chopped banana and nat yog

    2 x alpen lights (HEB)

    1 freddo (5 syns)

Chicken kebab and salad (dread to think of the pitta syns, but only had half).

Youv done really well so far cleosmum, you have kept really focused whilst still helping wayward slimmers like me.
For tea I have had extra lean mince, small amount of pasta sauce, mushrooms and onion, mullerlight and 2 calypso 2 syns, I had a baked potato (HEB).
So to summarise I have had 1 HEA
    2 HEB
    12 syns.

I am on nights for the next three nights so as long as no well meaning patients leave us boxes of chocs I should be OK.
