Everyone seems to be having a good social life at least! :T

I'm not doing too badly today - I was quite proud of the lunch I made for me and Natasha - home made tuna fish cakes with salad. I just used some leftover mash, a can of tuna, half an egg, and some breadcrumbs (had to use 2 slices of white bread to make the breadcrumbs so will have to count the syns for that). Other than that, I think they would be free - the mash was just potatoes, salt and pepper, the tuna would be a healthy b, the egg is free (I think?) and I just fried them in frylight, very gently so that they wouldn't burn on the outside. Then I squeezed a bit of lime over them. They were gorgeous!

Eeek, I'm a bit out of practice and have forgotten what things are free on green days - will have to dig the book back out.

Please does anybody know how many syns in Paxo Sage & Onion stuffing mix? I'm thinking of turning it into the main part of a meal rather than accompaniment for a roast, so I'll probably eat 1/2 packet rather than letting it feed the 8-10 that the box says.

Thanks - i probably didn't have quite as much as that, as I made quite a few fishcakes out of a 185g can and there are still some left, but at least I know I didn't have too much!

Snaggles, you sound just like me.Im going to get back to it now.I seemed to have lots of social occaisons all at once which didnt help.I always have the best intentions then screw it up because my willpower goes.

Im having a go today ive had

omlette made with a little milk from HEA allowance and cheese from HEA allowance.
    Lunch was lamb steaks.
Tea will be cod in tinned tomatoes with courgettes, peppers and onion and maybe broccoli.
Ive had a portion of strawberries and will have a muller light later.
    Does this sound OK.

The fishcakes sound lovely snaggles, this is going to sound really stupid but how do you make breadcrumbs, I usually buy them in a box allready done (hides head in shame).

OH makes his own and toasts the bread and then whizzes it in the blender until its crumbs. If you dont want to toast it then you can just leave it out to dry.

I think you are supposed to use stale bread because it is dry....but I never just happen to have stale bread hanging around, so I 'stale' it myself by microwaving it and letting it cool down. Once it's cool, it goes very dry and stale, so you can just whizz it in a blender.

(I am making it sound as though I do this on a regular basis, but in fact I can't remember the last time I did it! :rotfl:)

Ooh ... I should join ... we're going away in 62 days (yes, I am counting down!) to Newquay and I'd really like to lose some excess pound-age, have put far too much weight on this past year!

Problem being ... I've done slimming world before and know the free foods etc and we hardly have any of them in the house and no money to go shopping!

    And I have no scales!

    Hi everyone

    Welcome Melvis :D

    Been goodish today.

b'fast - 1 shredded wheat (HEB) and milk (HEA)

    banana and cappuccino (syns?)

fruit salad with cherries, grapes and raspberries with a mullerlight

light alpen bar (3 syns), kiwi and a cappuccino

Dinner at DD2's. Roast lamb (lean), 1 medium and 3 very small roast potatoes, broccoli, leeks, mushrooms (last 2 were prob lightly fried :o ), mashed swede (bound to have butter in it) and about 5 tbsp of gravy.

I didn't have a lot of lamb so prob better to count this as a green day and HEB the lamb. But I prob had too much syns with the roasties, butter and gravy to worry.

Ah well, I suppose it could've been worse, I didn't have dessert (but only 'cos there wasn't any :o )
