    gooooooooooood morning all:D

today will be a bit of a test as i am out for a pre birthday (my birthday is on 17th) lunch with a friend. As she is treating me (very MSE of me :D ) she will get to choose where we eat - hopefully there will be some goooooood options on the menu. Just fruit for brekkie for me so i can leave my options open for later.

Party time for me today too. Going to be on the road most of the day today so eating is going to be a problem.

I am taking a bottle of wine with me so that I can keep a measure of how much I am drinking. When i go to these parties people keep topping my wine up so I really don't know how much I have had.

I have saved some (!) of my syns not many, and I don't know what food will be served, it will be a buffet and I have so little willpower its untrue. I think I will just try my best and start again tomorrow - but I sooooo want to lose 2lb this week.

    Happy birthday soon MM

Hi everyone, I'm back! Well, I got back on Sunday morning but have avoided coming on here as I knew it would take me ages to catch up and I'd get nothing done. I had a lovely time and have got a really good tan, although it's starting to fade now.

Thank you for the congratulations but I feel a bit of a fraud as after hitting my target on the day I left for my holiday, I put 6.5lb of the 11.5lb I lost back on in 2 weeks! :o Too much beer, bread and crisps. Mainly beer I think. I never drink it at home but it was so hot over there that it was the only thing that quenched my thirst, honest! :D Was really annoyed as could see the weight going on and felt it with my clothes but didn't have the willpower to do anything about it.

Besides the half a stone or so in weight, I also brought back a stinking cold and have felt rough all week. I started off trying to get back on the plan but I've wanted to eat for England so now and again I have. I feel a bit better tonight so I'm going to pull my finger out and get back on it on Monday. There's lots of yummy stuff in the house at the moment as it's DD1's b'day on Monday and she had friends round for food tonight before they went out. That'll all be gone tomorrow along with the cake I made with butter icing :o

I'm going to alternate red and green days again as red days do work for me but I do struggle as I'm not a huge meat eater. Can anyone give me some ideas for dinners and packed lunches please (red days)? I'm not someone who can sit and pick at chicken as a snack.

I made a lovely potato salad the other day with jersey royals, chives and ASDA good for you fromage frais. Are there many syns in the fromage frais?

Oh well, better go to bed I suppose. I feel more focussed now I've posted and 'fessed up. I'm going to walk more again once my cold has gone as well. I'm hoping to lose the weight I've put on a bit more quickly than I lost it before I went on hol IFSWIM?

Snags, I will weigh in on Monday as I think I've probably put a bit more on this week. I would rather start from scratch if that's okay please? I will keep my usual weigh in day as Saturday though as that seemed to work well for me last time.

  • welcome back superpup, im pleased you had a good holiday, shame about the weight gain but a holiday isnt a holiday if you dont do and have what you want and if that leads to a gain then OK, would you have enjoyed your holiday as much if you had deprived yourself? you know you can lose it you have proved it and you will lose it again, we are behind you 100%.

superpup - pleased you had a great holiday and holidays are to be enjoyed and you will soon lose that weight again.

I didn't do very well yesterday with lunch but at least I didn't have a pudding. I am back on track today and will be good until weigh in on Wed night.

Aw thanks NL and MM. Have eaten total rubbish today and 'star week' has just commenced so am dreading the weigh in tomorrow morning. Oh well, as you say, I did it before and I can do it again. Just a bit annoying as I would've liked the thinner me and the suntan to coincide, lol

I did have a brilliant holiday and keep thinking that if I hadn't lost the weight beforehand, I'd be in the position of needing to lose almost 2 stones now. So I'm trying to think positively. I know I'm lucky in that I don't have loads to lose so I just need to quit whining and get on with it again.

I'm still needing some inspiration for red day dinners and packed lunches if anyone can oblige please..? :o
