I do mainly red days as pre SW diet carbs seemed to bloat me, I dont think I tolerate them well.
My problem seems to be that I use all my syns, I cant get them down.Today I have had
Breakfast - boiled egg, 2 nimble WM (HOB), teaspoon utterly butterly 1.5syns
Lunch - aunt bessies cauliflower cheese 8 syns, 2 bacon chops with all visible fat removed.
Dinner - grilled lamb steak, no fat, new potatoes (HOB) green beans and carrots.Skinny cow double choc lolly 4 syns.
In between I had 100g of turkey ham 1 syn.
mullerlight, strawberries and a satsuma.
Does that sound Ok, ive just ordered shopping on line and I will be having mainly red days, I just needed to use up some bits from the freezer.
Sounds pretty good to me and your syns are there to be used so unless you find you're going over the allowance, don't worry about it.
However, you could save syns by making things from scratch instead of buying them ready made. For instance, the cauliflower cheese seems quite high at 8 syns and you could make your own sauce using this recipe and adding a HEA of grated cheese:-
SW white sauce
Crush 2 garlic cloves into 250ml semi skimmed milk (HEA) and bring to the boil
Mix 14g of corn flour with a little water and add to milk and stir until the mixture thickens.
This makes 2 servings at 1½ syns each.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

hi all - been a busy week as I've been working extra hours and it's thrown me completely. Been kind of half on the plan - bran cereal and a yoghurt for breakfast, couscous or flavoured rice for lunch which I've made the previous night, but then been a bit 'lax' with what Icook in the evenings, but as of now, my hours are back to normal so should be ok from here on.

Don't worry keren, i have been all over the place since going away and the making of home made bread, because i wanted to avoid the shops and spending dosh. Trouble is I love bread, it really is my undoing.. gulp!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

bread has always been my downfall - leave me with a loaf and I'll show you an empty bread bin!
