    Hi there all slimmers
I was a slimming world leader for three years 15 years ago. Now I realise that things will have changed, but one of the problems I faced was that the vegetarian version was not very successful compared to the normal version of the diet. Vegetarians unite!

As a vegetarian, I find I can lose weight by eating lots of fruit and veg, reducing carbs to nil, or as close as possible and keeping fats as low as possible. This can allow me to lose a pound a week and never feel hungry.

The second thing I noticed was that despite a member's age, and I had several ladies in their 70s, was that when I looked down the charts of weight losses, there was always either a no-loss, or sometimes a gain, once a month. It looks like even when all our little homones have died and gone to heaven :A, our bodies remember the monthly routine of weight gain and loss.

One other observation - the only way to stop eating chocolate and biscuits is NEVER TO BUY THEM!!!

    Good luck to all slimmers.

Hi DM I was also a S/W consultant 14 years ago I worked for them for four years after I reached my goal.,
Things do change and I must admit for the better as I found out just over a year ago when I started back as a member needing again to lose some weight. :o
The food optomising was so much better.:j I am not a vegetarean, but 14 years ago when I lost 2 st I would do alternate Red & Green days and it worked for me, but I must admit since I have joined this forum a couple of weeks ago I tend to have a few more green days but i do make sure I have about 3 Red days a week to enable myself a good protein intake.
I am now well passed my menapause and I feel as I get older I find it harder to lose weight and yes I do believe women, after the menapause do find a feeling of being bloated around certain times of the month, I certainly have noticed it.:rotfl:
Well good luck with your green days, bubsy

Another 2lb off for me this week...whooo hoo! Am convniced that this is stress related though as have been in a right state recently and also had my 5th driving test yesterday which I failed due to a freak storm. Star week will be along soon and am convinced that I probably won't loose next week but am pleased with my loss today. Hope everyone is well xxx

Well done another 2 lb you must be real chuffed keep it up:A

Sorry about your driving test tho, but you will do it if you are as clever as you are at losing weight. Take care bubsy

    Hi everyone

I've lost just over half a lb this week but I'll count it as half rather than 1

It's not too bad considering I went off the rails for 3 days at the wedding last weekend.

Today I have had... (green again  )

Milky coffee (HEA), banana and 1 light alpen bar (half HEB) for b'fast

Lunch was wholemeal pasta with leftover bean casserole from last night with grated cheese (HEA)

    2 jaffa cakes :o (4 syns)

    Bag of ryvita minis (HEB)

Had b'fast and lunch late so need to eat dinner still, but don't know what to have. I have half a HEB left. I may have a jacket potato with beans and cottage cheese with another alpen bar for dessert and a mullerlight. Not that hungry but I don't feel I've eaten that much today although there was quite a lot for lunch.

Have my baby grandson here tonight so it's been a bit chaotic, lol, but he's fast asleep now :A

And I've booked my hol today :j so I need to keep going with this and def need to up my exercise to tone up as it's only 4 weeks away

I hope you have a great time Northernlass

Sorry about the driving test donner_kebab, have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

I am sorry to say that I really cant get away with quorn at all, I wish I liked it but no matter how many times I prepare it in different ways I still end up forcing myself to eat it.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Does anyone have a SW friendly chinese lemon sauce recipe. I have loads of left over roast chicken from Lunch and would like to do lemon chicken with rice for dinner.

I would be tempted to buy a ready made one but Asda only do a one with Ginger and we are not too keen on that one TBH and would like to have a go at making one myself.

Hi LouiseJ I have looked through all my S/W recipes and all I could find is a “sweet & sour dressing” that go’s with a Chinese salad, It may be O.K. for what you want to use it with, it has lemon in it.:j
    1-½ teaspoon of Lemon Juice
    1 level tablespoon clear honey
A few drops of soy sauce
You may need to double up on this to make a bit extra.
    Have a good day bubsy.:rotfl:

    Hi everyone

I have some small multipack bars of dairy milk which I bought to see me through the Moonwalk last week. Didn't count them then, as I figured the walking would balance out, but now the ones that are left are talking to me and I do feel like a Sunday afternoon treat.

Does anybody know the points please? They are 39/40g each.

Thanks in advance, and I hope everyone's having a good weekend. So far so dry here......
