I have a nice recipe from Uni which I adapt for the plan it's a carbonara, make with egg and no milk and i use a HE B choice for the bacon.

Very yummy, not done it in ages though and I am trying to really shift something, it's coming off so slowly this time!!

Its the same with me!! I am probably a lot older than you and I swear the weight gets harder to shift as you get older, but anyway I am trying, AGAIN!!!!:j

    Hi All,
I'd really like to join as i'm very overweight and its really starting to get me down. Problem is I have very little money spare every month and cant afford the classes. Can someone explain the whole Slimming World thing to me, is it like weightwatchers?

Had a bit of a bad day yesterday as made a lovely roast dinner but was kinda good as didn't have any stuffing or yorkshire puds so just had syns for gravy and the oil in the roast pots! I then went on to have my normal syns for the day as felt the need to gorge myself so thought if I just have the normal curly wurly and options drink and left it at that! I did do a 5 mile run in the morning so am hoping that helps a bit! I worry sometimes about becoming obsessed with every bit of food which goes near my mouth and have to realise that this is a slow process and I can't not have nice meals with friends (like the roast was) etc every now and again...just gonna get straight back on it today! It is hard though about getting soooo concerned about every single bit of food! Need to lighten up! :)

Would love to join but don't know the diet, can someone advise me which book(s) I need to start, been on ebay, amazon etc but the choice is confusing. I haven't got much money to spare so want to spend as little as possible, so if someone can let me know the absolute minimum I can get away with. Or do you think it would better (cheaper) to join a class and just go the once, or do they dole out the book bit by bit.
Looks very interesting, when I read the recipes etc, you seem to eat more/better than I do and I've a massive amount to lose (8 stone). This is having a bad effect on my health, diabetes etc, but I've got to the point where it hurts to stand for more than a minute or two, I'm more comfortable walking!

Can I just ask a question about Syns? If I didn't use them up all week, can I kind of roll them over, over the course of the week or is that not the thing to do? Just wondered if it evens itself out.

After my terrible weekend I have been good today with porridge, banana, pasta salad and muller light. I am trying to redeem myself :p

The books are quite expensive on e-bay.You would be better to join and get the starter pack that has everything you need in it and you get it on your first visit. Its £9.50 to join and membership and you get the pack so its not too bad.You can also go online and check syns etc and the good people on here will help if you are confused about anything.
