    Morning everyone

Don't worry Wannabefree - that lb will soon be off again.

Good luck to everyone who has yet to weigh in. I just did, and have lost 2.25lbs this week (thanks to the Moonwalk I think!). That means I have just gone over my 1/2 stone and have a 10 at the start again :)

Hope everyone has a good day

Let's face it, having brown rice instead of wholemeal pasta occasionally isn't going to have a major impact on your weight loss - it's more the build up of the little sneaky shortcuts we take or the little cheats that we pretend never happened that make us think the diet isn't working, which then demotivates us and then we fall off the wagon.

    I have quite a few:

    - polos don't count, they're only mints
    - if I eat it at exactly midnight, I don't have to count it for either day
    - it was only a dash of milk in my drink, so it doesn't matter
    - if I can only have one vodka, better make it a big one!
    - Picking at Natasha's leftovers doesn't need to be counted - they're only babyfood (babyfood doesn't make HER fat )

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::o :o:o

I'm trying really hard not to fall into any of these traps this time around, and am sticking to 'the rules' like glue!

Hi snaggles youv'e hit the nail right on the head, this is what a lot of slimmers do and don't realise the damage done until it comes to weigh in.

I think everyone is guilty of it at some time or other I know I have been.

    good morning roomies :p

well have had a pretty poor weekend, slid of the wagon and all that. BUT it is my first poor weekend since I started back in feb.
have put on 3lbs last week - the first week I have gained but I only have myself to blame. was supposed to have had last week off work as I did a week of nights the week before but ended up doing 57hrs overtime!!
bank balance will be nice and healthy at the end of june but it made me a bit stressed out and tired. we had pizza take away on sat and I ate a whole big bar of milkybar after. :o then yesterday we had burger and chips and icecream.

BUT - a new day today, am going to draw a line under it all and hopefully continue my good work.

had an apple for breakfast and will have some pasta for lunch. then will have jacket pot with small amount of grilled chicken for tea.

this afternoon am taking cream cakes up to OH work for a treat for them all but will have my dinner before I go so I dont get tempted!!!

    keep positive everyone

    Morning.

Had an ok weekend, 9.5 syns on Saturday. But went out for lunch with best mate yesterday.

I had roast chicken (but potatoes were deep fried!!!) but I was really good and had sorbet for dessert!! But I got on the scales this morning (I know!) and I have put on!!!

So I am going to be really good for the rest of the week. Red Day today:

    2 weetabix + 350ml skimmed milk

    Banana

    Hot chocolate (2 syns)

Syn free quiche with Salad (apple and Yogurt)

Then for dinner I will probably have chicken with some free sausages and loads of veg and HE B of potatoes!

    Does that look ok?

Good morning all, just to let you know if anyone copied the recipe I listed a couple of days ago, CHOC AND ORANGE MOUSSE.
I would just like to suggest you could omit the evaporated milk and use 150mls of Alpro soya unsweetened milk, it will nock off 2 syns, not a lot I know, but every little less syn helps.
    Have a good day,

I have a nice recipe from Uni which I adapt for the plan it's a carbonara, make with egg and no milk and i use a HE B choice for the bacon.

Very yummy, not done it in ages though and I am trying to really shift something, it's coming off so slowly this time!!

Hi jennyred I gather you are a nurse working nights, am I right,? I know what you mean and how you feel, I was a state enrolled nurse and I worked 7 nights on & 7 nights off on the Burns Unit for several years. I am retired now so life is a little bit easier for me, but I do understand how difficult it can be, it is so easy to fall off the waggon Ive done it myself, anyway best of luck

Hi everyone, hope we are all having a good day.
Jennyred I work nights and am always tempted, I was in Saturday night and the girls had a takeaway from the kebab house, I stuck with what I had brought with me but my mouth was watering.Once I start I cant stop and it alll goes wrong. We also get given lots of gifts of boxes of chocs that are left hanging around it is so hard.
Im having a red day today, im going to shops later which sausages are best on a red day.I will probably go to asda.Im not fussed on the quorn ones so which meat ones will cause least damage.
I havnt had any syns yet today, im trying to keep them low this week as I have a colleagues leaving doo to go to thurs and its in a lovely restaurant.
    So help with sausages please?
Im going to put them with lean bacon, eggs and tomatoes and mushrooms for our tea.
