Thanks Northernlass - I'm very rarely sick (apart from the 5 months I spent with my head down the loo when I was pregnant), so this has completely knocked me sideways - have had to ring in sick tonight, I wouldn't even be safe to drive, and I can only look at the computer screen for a few minutes at a time without feeling ill. And talking makes me feel queasy too....lol! So that's pretty much my entire job that I can't do!
I feel really bad about ringing in though because I've only been back from maternity leave a few weeks, and have already had a night off when Natasha fractured her leg. Can't be helped I suppose but it's not the impression I really wanted to create."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Anyone got a good recipe for Slimming World quiche?
I know that you can make one with Cottage Cheese, but I don't know how! Does anyone know?
These are my recipes for quiche:-
Quiches (All syn Free on Green Plan)
Syn free pasta quiche: Make up a packet of Batchelors Pasta n Sauce as directed on the packet but using only water, whisk in 3 eggs, pour into a flan dish and cook in a fairly hot oven until set (about 30-40 minutes).
Easy and really nice, especially when hot.
Syn free rice quiche: Make up a packet of Batchelors Savoury Rice as directed, whisk in 3 eggs and a large tub of very low fat cottage cheese. Season to taste. Pour into a flan dish and cook in the oven for about 30-40 minutes till firm to the touch.
Syn free onion & leek quiche : Chop 1 large onion and 2 leeks and saut! in Frylight till soft and golden. Put them into a flan dish. Whisk 3 large eggs with a large tub of very low fat cottage cheese, Season to taste, pour over the onion & leeks and put in the oven till set (again about 30-40 minutes on gas 6).
Syn free potato & onion quiche: Slice cooked new potatoes and red onion in the bottom of a dish. Mix quark or cottage cheese and 3 eggs together and pour over the potato & onion. Season with black pepper and cook for about 30 minutes or until set.
You can add a tub of cottage cheese for bulk if you like, to any of the recipes, it's just that I prefer them without.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

What about if we all commit to just one perfect day, tomorrow (if I can eat by then...lol). So we will have our lovely free foods, our healthy extras, and a maximum of 6 syns?
We could make a meal plan now, maybe even prepare anything that can be prepared in advance....and we can check in here as often as possible throughout the day if we are in need of motivation, or just a chat.
I find that taking it a day at a time helps me not feel too overwhelmed by the task ahead, and having one great day encourages me to have another, and another.
Anyone fancy joining me?
Breakfast - grilled bacon, poached egg and canned tomatoes.
Lunch - packed lunch chicken salad, mullerlight, fruit.
Tea - chicken, baked potato (heB), vegtables.mullerlight and banana.
I will maybe have 2 mini babybel lights as a heA.
How does that sound, I hope you are better tomorrow snaggles.0 -
