morning everyone. well i had a rubbish day yesterday, however in my defence i did ensure i cleaned up ALL the cheese in the house hold so that i wouldn't be open to temptation...
TOday is market day in town so time to go attack the fruit stall and by some yummy fresh stuff for the next week. I have found cherry tomatoes to be my new mainstay in the snack stakes and polished off a whole punnet in 2 hours yesterday. I'm so glad i got rid of the cheese and know that i can indulge my redbull addiction with the sugar free version too.
SO today my plan is...
Breakfast-scrambled egg, yogurt (tesco low fat 1.5 syns)
lunch- large fresh salad with 2 quorn sausages (another mainstay!) (free!!)
Dinner-Quorn beef strips with stir fry vegetables (trying to find a health sauce! any ideas?)
Snacks will be a lemonade sparkle (couldn't find them on the list but think they would be around 3 syns looking at the other "creamy" ice creams and more of my lovely tomatos and maybe some carrot.
Hope everyone else has a productive day. would someone mind explaining HE's to me? it looks asthough some of them carry syns, do this count if they are a healthy extra? Confused!!!!

Hi P - it's completely up to you hun - I have added you to the spreadsheet, so if you want your starting and target weights to appear on it, then either post them on here or send me a PM. If you are shy like me (what? I AM shy!! :rotfl:) and just want to post your weight losses, that's fine too.:)
ps Lol at the cheese eating, but you do know you can have cheese every day if you want, as a healthy 'A' choice don't you?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well, maybe not the whole block, :rotfl: but a small square, or a bit more if it's the 'light' stuff (for example you can have 2 light Babybels).
Thanks hun - she's just waking up now I think, not sure what she will make of the presents but I'm sure she will like tearing the paper up!

good evening all
well night 4 of 7 and am really worried I am not eating enough on nights - am not hungry so it is really hard to motivate myself to eat - also can olny eat what I bring and have no access to any other food so if i'm not hungry when I leave to house then I dont bring much with me.
did not have breakfast when I got up, just a cup of tea. so have had nothing to eat since 11pm last night.
have got a big bowl of pasta to eat shortly with some tesco healthy living bacon and tomato pasta sauce, with some grated cheese on top. a muller yogurt - and thats it until I get up tomorrow evening.
how bad is this if I do this for a week? I eat very normally when i'm on days, aprox 3 weeks, then eat hardly anything for 7 days. will I do myself any damage??
please help.
Snaggles is right - if you don't eat enough, your body tends to shut down all but the most important things it needs to do, in order to conserve energy, thinking there's going to be a food shortage.
It would be better to eat little and often if you can. Grab a banana for breakfast - it's quick and easy and will help to get your metabolism raised. Then, instead of eating your pasta in one go, if you have the time on your shift to stop more than once, I would suggest you eat it over two meal breaks. This raises your metabolism twice instead of just the once which should help you burn more energy.
Perhaps you could pack a little box of fruit (a few strawberries, grapes etc) to nibble on each time you stop for a cuppa.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

If you do green days, you could have all 4 of your healthy extras in cheese  (forget I said that, lol).
Healthy extras:- I always tell my members to have 2 from each list (ie 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs). There have been experiments done which suggest that extra calcium actually helps with weight loss, so have them and enjoy.
If you take say cheese for example (sorry, not trying to rub it in)......28gms of most cheeses is a HEA, and would be counted as such. If however, you wanted extra (having consumed all your HEs for the day) you could have more, but would need to syn it at 6 syns (or thereabouts) for the extra 28gms. Does that answer your question, I'm not sure that's what you were asking?
Oh, and when I do stir-fry, I generally use Soy sauce and a dash of Worcester sauce (both syn free). You can also use the fat free salad dressings made by Kraft (I think) available in Asda and Morrisons.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
