Very good for cleaning glass, especially windows.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • I've got this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Morphy-Richards-70455-Essentials-Compact/dp/B001LK8RMG/ref=pd_sim_sbs_kh_2 only had it a day but used it for about 3 hours yesterday afternoon and very impressed so far. Blasted the burnt on muck from my hob with no problem at all!

I use my steam cleaner to clean everything except wallpaper (I'm frightened it steams it off). I clean doors, furniture, stair banister, skirting boards, basically anything you could clean with a damp cloth. You can also use it to clean windows, inside fridges/cookers and it's brilliant for defrosting the freezer. Or what about freshening up curtains? Just give them a blast as they hang.

Thanks for this, exactly what i wanted to hear! No wallpaper here so I shall steam the whole house now -)

Anyone fancy recommending a good steamer for household use - ours is rubbish, it's a warm mist that comes out now not steam!!!

ive just bought a polti vapperto for £120 and its amazing, lots and lots of steam, quite compact, but does everything mentioned above. the only thing is i was an idiot and steamed the paint off the front door! totally my fault as i had the steamer to close so the paint blistered.

My steamer saved me a fortune, I was going to replace the kitchen cupboard doors because I got fed up with the muck sticking in the moulding especially in the corners, it blasted it out so easily I decided the doors can stay:p

    for now at least:rotfl:

  • I use mine for cleaning suits and other dry-clean only clothing, as dry cleaning often is not good for clothes.

I've got a Polti Easy Steam and love it. I too read the reviews about the attachments but I don't think they're flimsy at all, my OH has even used it and he breaks most things he touches. :D

I can't comment about Polti's customer service because I've never had to contact them.

  • I love my Polti, great at cleaning and a whizz at defrosting the freezer in minutes!
