Some hoovering and polishing on the cards and if I get time I will make a dent in the ironing pile also.

Annie am so so sorry to hear about your nephew's wife, I cant imagaine what you all must be going through. Churchmouse what a lovely poem, I read the first 2 sentences and the tears started flowing and I just managed to see through them to finish the whole thing.

  • Morning guys :j

Big hugs to Anniebooklover, sorry to hear such bad news

On my lunchbreak at mo, not much work here to do today, so intend on doing and hr after lunch and get it all done, then can read my book for the afternoon, may do some work on my youth award too if I fancy it.

No cooking tonight, going to pick up Pizza hut on way home as out tonight so don't have much time to get home and cook etc.

My friend is entering the nationwide Pub Stars karaoke comp in the local pub tonight so I'm going along as moral support and using it as an excuse to go and [STRIKE]get drunk [/STRIKE] have a few drinks! :D;) She's a really good singer so I'm hoping she does well.

Got home yesterday to a letter from KFC, and a voucher for a free variety bucket. Had previously contacted them with a complaint, and they have sent a reply and voucher, so very impressed with the customer service. Will write back thanking them for the reply.

Best be off, bye for now, hugs to all

Kept waking up during the night as DH told me I was snoring -I even woke myself up so went to the spare bed at 3 am.!

Have split pea soup left from yesterday for late lunch and might make a veggie curry for DH with peppers, mushrooms and onions.

DD has a day off from school so gone to York with a couple of friends.

DH has hung out the washing on the line so surfing on here with a pot of tea!

Has everyone but me managed to sell their house?

Next door has just sold, a house down the road sold in a month, and the house across the road has a "sold" sign outside and they have only been on the market for ten days!!!

    Little Snowdrop

    The world may never notice
    If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom,
    Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon.

But every life that ever forms,
    Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way
    For all eternity.

The little one we long for
    Was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on.

And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do.
    Every beating of our hearts
    Says that we love you.

Annie, I'm so sorry for that desperately sad news. A friend of mine who lost a baby received this poem, and found it comforting. I don't know whether you feel it appropriate.

edited to add, she did receive some snowdrop bulbs to plant in memory of her baby.

Churchmouse - that really is beautiful
