On my lunchbreak at mo, not much work here to do today, so intend on doing and hr after lunch and get it all done, then can read my book for the afternoon, may do some work on my youth award too if I fancy it.

My friend is entering the nationwide Pub Stars karaoke comp in the local pub tonight so I'm going along as moral support and using it as an excuse to go and [STRIKE]get drunk [/STRIKE] have a few drinks! She's a really good singer so I'm hoping she does well.
Got home yesterday to a letter from KFC, and a voucher for a free variety bucket. Had previously contacted them with a complaint, and they have sent a reply and voucher, so very impressed with the customer service. Will write back thanking them for the reply.

The world may never notice
If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom,
Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way
For all eternity.
The little one we long for
Was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on.
And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do.
Every beating of our hearts
Says that we love you.
Annie, I'm so sorry for that desperately sad news. A friend of mine who lost a baby received this poem, and found it comforting. I don't know whether you feel it appropriate.
edited to add, she did receive some snowdrop bulbs to plant in memory of her baby.
Churchmouse - that really is beautifulr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
