Maybe this one depending on the type of complaint.

Anyone been waiting forever for a payout?

Here is an handy link here, I used something similar when waiting for my payout from Nemo after it was dealt with by the FOS, however as it was the FOS who dealt with my complaint, I had made sure if it were okay to do this first, and they were fine about it but always appreciate a copy too.

A letter before Action also known as a LBA.;) Handy if they have been ignoring your previous requests.

    Hi there

Was just wondering if anyone could advise.

I have put a claim in with littlewoods shop direct (Kays catalogue) for ppi.

They have sent me a questionaire back asking me questions like did i have existing sick cover who supplied it, policy type, start of cover, and cover reference number. This list refers to:- Unemployment cover, disability cover, critical illness cover, life cover, Merchandise cover & hospitialisation cover.

The thing is, when I first had the catalogue back in 2003 i was unemployed. I went self employed in april 2005 and PPI was just added to my statements in november 2005. Do I have to fill this form in by law or can I just write to them again saying that this information is irrelevant as they weren't interested in this information when I opened my account with them and didn't have a job at all? And it doesn't alter the fact I was mis sold the policy, as i don't recall filling in any kind of application form for it it was just added.

    Hi there hun
This one is new on me really,(regarding catalogues) but I'm sure others here maybe able to advise you of your best options here.

The point is you were unemployed and I don't think this would have covered you anyway, so its definately worth fighting for this.

Keep a check on this forum hun for some further answers here.;)

    Good luck!

    Thanks Di,

    Will check back later.

I think this is yet another way of getting out of paying. But will still go to FOS in the end anyway. Let them decide. They have done me good so far

No problem hun and I feel you have a good reason to complain about this and fight for what you have paid back.;)

I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

The main point is all PPI should be optional and this was not. They should not ask you other questions about other cover in place at the time. Its not their place. I would write back and reiterate your original complaint and say that its irrelevant to the fact that you were MISSOLD this PPI by themselves. The questionaire was not given to you at the time of taking out your catalogue so why should it matter now! This questionaire would of been appropiate at the time of taking your business but not now at a time when you are complaining. Its a stalling method and also "yes" they are trying it on.
