PPI Reclaiming discussion Part II

I blame the authorities here too as they allowed it. We had no protection then and unless its after 2005 we have little comeback now. That is what is annoying here. They say a sale is ok to claim back if it was after 2005 but if before you have to really fight and often through the courts for the same issues as post 2005 sales. From what i can see also if you go to court the consumer with the debt problems is often up against big powerful solicitors who then bring up every law they can to get out of it.
Automatic payback for anyone making a claim regardless of dates. they were wrong to have been sold to people and have ruined so many lifes and left us with lifelong debt problems.
Added up my PPI since 1997 and it seems we have paid over £20K in it. Where would we be now if we had not had it. Its been nothing but a struggle ever since.
We were induced to more debt needlessly when it was only sold purely for the profits of the banks and certainly not for the interest of the consumer which is what we put trust in the banks doing. Looking after our finances. (never again!!!!!) I think we will all end up putting our money under the mattress again soon.
we are in at least 30k cos of the ppi alone never mind bank charges, credit card charges and the whopping interest they charge for them on all including your actual debt!!
it makes me so angry I wish I could turn back the clock and wish i knew then what i know now about these robbing barstewards!!!still fighting for my money !!!0 -
emailed the below, is this ok?:
Dear Mr Farr,
I am writing with reference to payment protection insurance I feel was incorrectly administered by Bespoke finance (formally Karacus).
I have now attempted to contact your company in writing three times, but have yet to receive an acknowledgement of any of my correspondence.
I have written confirmation from Freedom Finance that they forwarded my initial complaint to you on 14.08.08, and I have written a further two letters on 10.09.08 and 23.09.08 asking for you to deal with this matter. I have received no communication from yourselves what so ever.
I have also contacted the FSC via email in order to register my complaint with them and also bring to their attention your lack of communication.
I would be grateful if you would respond to my original complaint with regards to the single premium policy which was repaid early but taken as a whole payment for the full term of the loan (10 years).
I feel that we should be entitled to a partial refund as we paid back the loan early and were changed PPI for the whole term of the loan. My account number with freedom finance was : ******* and my complaint reference with them is : ******.
I have no recollection of being informed that Bespoke finance (formally Karacus) administered the PPI for this loan and therefore have no account number for yourselves. I sent my final payment to clear the loan to Paragon Fiance and was led to believe they were the administrators of the loan package.
When the loan was taken I lived at ***********,***********. I hope this assists you in locating my account.
As I am aware that you hold a consumer credit licence here in the UK should you continue to ignore my correspondence I will have no option but to make a complaint to the OFT about your fitness to hold a licence.
In summary, I feel that I am not being treated fairly by Bespoke and that the PPI policy was miss-sold and therefore I am requesting a refund.
As I have written 3 times and have been attempting to resolve this issued since 04.08.08 I am now giving you 14 days for a final response, before I take this matter further.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Marshallka has done a good job on this. I suggest you write a similar letter to Freedom's directors. The forms you signed will have said "processing on behalf of Bespoke". That is fair for the loan you first requested but selling PPI paid for by an additional loan means that Freedom did much more than "process". It is likely that both firms are in breach of the Misrepresentation Act. The good news is that these companies are making private settlements because they do want to attract the attention of OFT and Revenue and Customs for VAT issues.0 -
Hi there folks.;)
Will finish completing that liquidators form regarding Twopart/Eloan.co.uk, as the FSCS suggested and send off tomorrow, it will be a good while for them to go into default though I expect.
(not a lot to the form really but as this is all new to me, just need to make sure I make no mistakes). The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Sorry Di, I just did not want you to go in all guns a blazing when looking from a distance it looked like you had been ripped off more but looking more closely I wanted another person to verify what i had worked out. Sorry but its still something back. Its still missold and they would have ripped you off sooo much more if you had not stayed with them. Now lets hope you can do something with "click".

Could you not send it in in the hope that they will look from a distance and not mention any amount here and probably you will get the difference between the original £18K and the rebate of £7K. LOL0 -
