    Dear Sir or Madam,

Re: Account number: xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
I purchased the above policy from you October 2006 but now believe that I was mis-sold this policy for the following reason:

This is due to the fact that I was not given the correct information when the policy was sold to me, as
    • I receive two years statutory sickness pay from my employer, and also I receive two years death in service benefit
    • Because of the above benefits I receive from my employer PPI insurance would be an unnecessary policy for me to opt for

Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid to date which total £674.82. As I believe I have been deprived of this money I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made, which amounts to £53.27.

I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint.

    Yours faithfully,

    Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Total for SPC3 £1,030.57 Total For SPC 4 £2247.00 Total for SPC 5 £2574.62 :T Total for SPC 6 £4552.91:T

If this is the case here then this is no fault of Pinknico, I would contact the FOS and suggest about GISC and that it has been checked (if the correct company shown as authorised 2001) that they were covered and request to re-submit her complaints and go from where they left off.

Not unless this is another company altogether  who were not authorised at all
Need to get the correct FSA firm number to double check on this one I think:rolleyes:
Authorised in 2001 by the FSA does not mean that they were authorised for the sale of insurance. They would have been in 2005 and FOS are wrong to quote they were not until 2007. Like i say everyone selling insurance had to be so if pinknico sale was after 2005 then she needs to get back to the FOS and inform them that she think they have it wrong or if it was pre 2005 find out if they members of the GISC.

    Yours faithfully,
Was this a single premium policy?? If it was then why are you only asking for what you have paid to date - I assume it was charges on a credit card - if this is so then this looks good but if it was a single premium that you need to ask for the interest paid over the term of the loan too and to be put back into the position as if you never had the PPI.

Just seen the addy here and it was a card so looks good to me.

    Yours faithfully,

    Hi Sparky

The 8% should not be of the final amount it needs to be from the date the payments came out of your bank account. If you put the amounts of PPI including interest and the date they came out into thee bank charges calculator this will do the sums for you.

If you have done this already then I apologise
    Good luck:D
