Came across this and below on that link there is something about having some responsibility if not trading, this reminded me of Click, even though they still trade running other groups, but interesting anyway.

I know these cannot provide personal consumer advice but am wondering if they would come in handy for any of our complaints

There are a few links on this page, just press on the left hand codes which takes you into what you are interested in finding out. (Jurisdiction) etc.

I have stopped crying today as they have assured me they have sent it me and that they have rang the HMRC to cancel the cheque too (we have been in touch with trading standards and also the tax office too). I will just have to wait til morning now and then i maybe crying again. I don't cry for long when i read of other peoples struggles and problems. :D

Morgage talk sell insurance exclusivley for legal and general. I have the name of the broker, she was based and the company still is with an estate agents in sheffield
Is there any way you can advise me how sucessful a claim of this type would be, most of the PPI reclaims on this site are for unsecured loans and not maorgages and i am worried that if i put in a claim in i will not be sucessful and also it will prevent me claiming the very small ammount i may be able to claim

    Many thanks
    Ian

Just spoken to HMRC again this afternoon and told them the situation and they say we need to send the cheque back to them and then they will reissue a cheque again to us. The thing is they have a backlog of post of 6 weeks and they say that even if we take the cheque and covering letter in it will not speed up the process. We put this letter into them on 30th May so looks like this could be another long wait again. (if we actually get the cheque back from these people that have it:eek: .) I have done all i can now so back to the PPI helping. (or hindering which ever the case may be!!!)

Hi Ian, firstly sorry to hear of your sad loss, i had a look back at your previous posts and saw this and would like to add i cannot imagine how you are feeling being a parent myself.

As regards the misselling then you need to get in touch with the broker that sold the policy. You first need to send the template letter from here and add delete what is appropiate to you and also you have to give them 8 weeks for a response. If you want any more help from here just shout. If you need the address then perhaps if you give us more details of the firm we can find this out for you.

What date was the policy sold to you etc. If you let us know more details we can try to help.

If you are now thinking of keeping and using the policy then you have to weigh up the benefits. You say its not fit for purpose but you only have a couple of weeks to make a choice. Let us know more like I say and hopefully we can help you.

You say you hope to be back at work so if you are back to work then you will not need this and if you feel that its not going to be suitable in the future due to the fact that they a 90 day exclusion then I would get on with the misselling and try to find something more suited.

    Who was the actual Broker???

I know many of you know how the FOS works by now regarding your complaints, and can even find the information you require on the FOS website, but have come across this which also explains this:

    http://www.adrnow.org.uk/go/SubPage_33.html

Another link here, not exactly about mis selling but still handy to read.
