I have just started a claim with nemo for mis-sold PPI in you foot note it says

    FOS adjudicator upheld NEMO PPI
Nemo disagree with first adjudicator july 2008
second adjudication upheld waiting for Nemo to reply to FOS (again) sept 2008

can you tell me how long your claim has been running and do you know what happens if nemo reject the FOS ruling again I think there should be a right to appeal but to turn round to the FOS and say get lost twice I think is time wasting and at the very least cheeky

    Thanks

I don't think they would dare turn round and say no again. The Ombudsman's decision is final.

    Hi there Cot

I may be able to help here until Laini arrives back here, I was also mis sold ppi by Nemo and we had won our case at the end of last year.

However, mine was rather complexed where it went from the adjudicator then onto the ombudsman himself as Nemo also tend to use stalling tactics which does not help, but the FOS will only give them a reaonable time, so not to worry.

You will eventually get there and if you were treated like us and pressured then you stand a good chance of winning this complaint.

This will vary hun on timescales, as right now the FOS are really sky high with these type of complaints but with a bit of luck yours will be dealt with at an earlier stage.
If your case is being dealt with right now then it will just be a matter of time.

Post back if you require more info hun.;)

    thanks marshallka

thats what I thought, but it looks like in laini's case nemo disagreed with the FOS in July and were able to get them to look at it again

it looks to me reading through the threads that most of the major banks are folding quite easily with one or two letters but the likes of nemo and first plus and GE money are playing hard ball with every case, and not that bothered about cases going to the FOS

I also had this too hun, Nemo denying mis selling to the FOS, but the FOS from the start already made up their minds and I also provided the disc to prove this but Nemo just kept requesting for extra time to send further information - where all they sent was the same information from the start.

I am sure this will be resolved.;)

not at the FOS stage yet just sent my first letter to nemo so will have to wait and see. What was the time scale of your case start to finish?

Laini's case went before and adjudicator and won and Nemo objected and then it goes before the Ombudsman and his decision is final and it was upheld again. She is just waiting for Nemo to pay up now.

Complaint sent to FOS Nov 2006, the final decision was 31 october 2007, they finally paid out in early Jan this year.

I don't think Laini will be hanging about too long now and I think my case was one of the first cases against Nemo reported to the FOS, but now there are more and more against these and these claims/complaints are getting resolved quicker against these.

Good luck to you hunni, I know you will win this.;)
