Yes hun a different issue altogether, but surely the GISC should work like the FSA, but then the FSA do not really mention anything about unfair rebates do they ? Damn its confusing isn't it hun ?
FSA does but does the GISC as well.

This is what i want to know and put on here. The GISC code of conduct but can't really find it anywhere unless the ABI thingy i put on before was it. I am calling it a night now Di cause I am driving myself mad and I bet you too (this is how i go) and I am so blummin tired. I can't let go when i want to know something and it ends up making me ill again. I will be glad when tomorrow comes and I can think about other peoples claims more.

Night Di. xx

Aww bless you hun, you work so hard all the time, even my sister made a lovely comment about you and said she hopes you get through all this, you deserve this.

If I come across anything I will post up hun, but its very unlikely I will find a thing on GISC "unfair rebate issues", will check though just in case, or I may ask over the road.;)

Night hunni, sleep well and catch ya tomorrow.

That is what I also found earlier and did not add it because the link did not work....... , only a bit of a write up about treating customers fairly:

gisc

The General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) is an independent, non-statutory organisation which was set up to regulate the sales, advisory and service standards of Members (insurers, intermediaries - inclucing brokers, agents, and anyone acting for them). Its main purpose is to make sure that general insurance customers are treated fairly.
The GISC have devised a set of rules their members must comply with. These rules affect the products and services CDL Internet Services provide to their clients who are members of the GISC.
Membership of the GISC is not mandatory at the moment but in the long term, the intention is that GISC will become a fully empowered regime covering all organisations involved in the general insurance activities in the United Kingdom.
Direct Choice is proud to be a member of the GISC.

And same again when you click here to view their code its not anywhere. I think we should know this code as this is what the FOS work from on pre 2005 complaints. I will find it tomorrow if it kills me.:D

I was wondering if the FSA would have any information about GISC, I think we have every right to request this information, this would save a lot of work.;)

I know. It would be great and we would know if our complaints were covered and if FOS could take a look. Also a GISC register would be handy.
