I really hope you are right Di. It just seems strange not to have heard anything yet other than the "Yes" we have received your complaint. I did ring Thursday and was told someone would be in touch but nothing Thursday or Friday. I was also told the other week that there was "activity" on the complaint. Fingers crossed. We really need this.

Although, I am confused here about the wording that FOS have used in unfair settlement/rebate as I have now only worded it unfair rebate as my one that stated unfair settlement was passed to an adjudicator and thrown back to me. I then thought it was because i used the words of unfair settlement. I am so blummin confused with this one as in my letter from the adjudicator he stated that he could not look into this complaint as Firstplus only became under their jurisdiction in January, 2005 and yet they were members of the GISC in November 2001. I will just have to wait and see. Maybe the first adjudicator got things wrong here. Maybe thats the problem. (wishful thinking ey!!!!)
so this is the 3rd time its been submitted now worded as unfair rebate and they havent sent it back.

how long have they had it?

it seems like they are looking at it now I think this looks promising and hopefully the first adjudicator got it wrong

I think that cos it was settled in the time when the FOS where the ones to complain to if you took it further at the time of your settlement as your complaint is now on the rebate not on the sale of the PPI- does this make sense?

I would say give it a bit more time dont give up yet.

but still ask for updates like Di says give them a nudge

Laini, you do understand:j . Thanks for that. Yes this is the third time but the first i knew would not be looked at as it was not Firstplus that sold it but this is for unfair rebate and I don't think my second was perhaps right to be thrown out as they were members of the GISC at the time of settlement. Its been there for about a month now and apparently they said someone would be in touch shortly just to let me know if it is something they can definately look into or not. Just have to wait i guess but a little annoying if the second one was thrown out by the adjudicator when in fact it should have been looked at.

How do they work these unfair rebates out?? Does it take into account the interest charged on the rest of the loan after settling etc.?

This is not misselling but just unfair rebate remember..

M colak did me some working here

Ok looking at that you have had a disproportional rebate of approx £7447 and you should be looking at a PPI rebate (if mis sold) of £3235.72

What figures here are for the unfair rebate bit?? If any??

What are these calculations here about that he did??? I cannot tell and also cannot tell what I am looking at getting back for unfair rebate??

LOL. I have posted what M colak did for me earlier this year. I do not know what these calculations are about. It says unfair rebate but i don't know what figures he meant were for unfair rebate as there are so many...
