No, we hadnt heard of them before the letter from Freedom.

We made everything payable to Freedom and always dealt with them. I called 00 350 73835and asked for Ian Farr.

We didnt keep anything from the loan, but then again we thought we had paid the right amount and we wouldnt need it anymore!

Can Freedom do anything about this? Am I right in thinking that Freedom were only the 'broker' for the loan?

No Freedom was acting as a processor for the broker who was Bespoke. It states it in the smallprint of the website.

When was the loan approx. ?? I thought it was 2005 in which case your best bet next is to request a SAR (subject access request) from Freedom Finance or Bespoke. This is all the data they hold of you including the applications and phone calls and everything. I would write to freedom and say that they need to pass this on to whoever deals with the paperwork side of things. Its usually the compliance department of Freedom (and it costs a tenner too) but they could state to you that they hold nothing and will have to write to Bespoke. When you have the paperwork from them with smallprint on then you can take it from there and find out who was acting in the correct legal manner.

I thought it was 2005, but its was acutally 2004. Will this make a difference? Will get onto the paperwork from a SAR tomorrow. That way I will know where we stand, will also contact fsc. Will keep you updated and no doubt will be back!! Thanks.

Additionally where there has been any event in my account history over this period which has required manual intervention by any member of your staff or any other person, I require disclosure of any indication or notes which have either caused or resulted in that manual intervention or other evidence of that manual intervention in relation to my business with you.

If you are unable to supply data relating to manual intervention because there has been no such manual intervention then please be kind as to confirm this in your response to this request.

Where any information that you provide includes any charges, for example returned payments, late payment fees, and so forth, would you please advise your breakdown of actual costs (liquidated damages) incurred for each charge, and the Term or Condition on which you rely upon to claim such a charge.





I also require that you forward, within the above mentioned time scale, a true copy of the Terms and Conditions that were in force at the time my account was opened, and any subsequent amendments to those Terms and Conditions.

Also simone83 do not give up on this. It may seem like a daunting thing but there is lots of help at hand. Just do not give up. Keep asking away and I really hope you get somewhere.

ALso please make a complaint about this to the OFT as they had a consumer credit licence and also the FSA too. Just get them logged at all of them. It may help others as well.

As regard the 2004 thing, we thought they had misread your complaint as they redirected you to Bespoke. We thought it must have been before 2005 anyway.

you have been busy bees on here again!!

I went to Tescos today and on the way there I got a puncture -grrr

When we got to Tesco ,Elliott wanted the loo so I sent him in and I waited outside at the lottery kiosk.

so I thought I know I will buy a scratch card

so I scratched it off while waiting for Elliott(my son).

and guess what!! I won 108.00 on it yippee!!! this will now pay for a new tyre (in one hand out the other).:j

Wow Laini, you lucky thing. I never win on them. Mind you you can't win if you don't buy them i suppose.

I bet you are glad your Elliot went to spend a penny while you won that much. What a profit. (Less the tyre of course!!)

Got a nice bottle of white but on flu tabs at the moment for a heavy cold. (its not flu but its enough for me). So will save it for the weekend and hope fully some good news about Firstplus. Have you read my posts earlier?? You have really read them to understand them. I am still non the wiser?? Your opinion would be greatfully appreciated on this one Laini but like i say you have read them.
