A website that is flagged as suspicious has some of the characteristics typical of phishing websites, and it is neither on the list of legitimate websites that is stored on your computer nor on the online list of reported phishing websites. The website might actually be legitimate, but you should not submit any personal or financial information to it unless you are certain that the site is trustworthy.0 -
well i recieved final letter from lloyds stating I was not missold - standard letter i think. So i am going to post out FOS form tomorrow. This is what i have put under my reasons, can anyone advice if it states it clearly enough or if its too much waffle - im doing it on behalf of my husband.
I feel I was mis-sold as I already had adequate insurance in place which was discussed during the Personal Financial Interview. On page 4 it shows that my wife’s main income at that time was from PPI of £597 per month. My wife has been unable to work for over 10 years and the income protection pays her monthly to this day. I had and remain to have to this day the same level of protection, as my wife and I took out individual policies together in 1997. On page 8 of the review it shows I have protection from Prudential. On page 9 of the financial review it shows I pay an amount of £61 per month for this income protection plan. The letter I received from the bank says that during the review we were asked about insurances as part of the sales process (copy attached), it says we did not disclose any policies which could have been relevant to the cover under the payment protection insurance for which the policy was recommended. The policy I have is the same as my wife’s, so if I were unable to work for more than two months (which is how much sick pay i had at the time) , my income protection plan from prudential would have paid me so I would have been able to meet the repayments on the loan.0 -

Hi there
Yes its highly to be a standard fob off response.
Was this Lloyds Final Response? and did they add in the letter that you can now complain to the FOS ?
They generally add the FOS leaflet too.
If this is not the final letter, write back and tell them if they do nor uphold your complaint and refund you with interest etc you will not hesitate but forward this onto the FOS.
Good luck!

yes they said it was their final response and gave me info on fos, the thin gis, the second letter they sent said they had reviewed my complain again and since they recieved no further information, are unable to overturn their decision. Well they base their response on their finanacial review - they sent me a copy, they say my husband did not point out any relelvant insurances, so when i replied back, i said as your review shows, i clearly have already got an IPP in place, - so i dont know if they even looked at my letter properly. So its off to the FOS i go! - do you know how likely the FOS are to agree with me - i dont know the statistics for Lloyds successes.0

Hi Everyone,
I hope you can help...... my wife and I found out today that we maybe able to re-claim our PPI back from First Plus as we have an existing loan from them that we took out about 2 years ago.
The total borrowed was £50k but checking the paperwork today it would seem that the £12.5k PPI premium was added to this total too
Now we have read through the claim section and downloaded part 1 of the claim process/letter and created our points for a claim but we are unsure if we should add all three of the following or just the first 2 (hope that makes sense:rolleyes: ).
· This is due to the fact that I was not given the correct information when the policy was sold to me, as- Your salesperson did not tell me that the policy was optional
- Your salesperson did not give me full information on what the policy would and would not cover for example that the loan only covers the first five years of my loan term.
- Your saleperson did not explain that the premium would be added to our loan.
All help appreciated

marshallka wrote: »Compensation for Distress from the Ombudsman
Delays, rudeness and poor claims handling are grounds for ordering financial services firms to compensate customers, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has said. Payments can be ordered in addition to other remedies.
Whenever a customer complaint is upheld by the FOS, it will consider whether to make an additional award for distress and inconvenience caused by the firm – even if the consumer has not specifically asked it to do so.
In exceptional cases, it may award compensation even if the complaint is not upheld but the firm handled the complaint particularly badly.

Thanks for that:D Am suffering all above plus extreme rage. My claim still not settled although upheld by FOS in May:mad:
Fingers crossed may be able to send figures to them today just to help out a bit, no wonder they cannot get their paperwork right. Think they deliberately put these
twits in customer services just to make us want to give up. Will let you know just in case (pigs may fly) they acknowledge their mistake:rotfl::mad:0 -

Hi.
Just also pm'd you back and thanks.;)
My experience with Lloyds they have been hard work, yet others may have other opinions of these.
It's been a battle for me with these and I have complaint in with the FOS with these right now, just waiting to be passed onto the adjudcators stage.
I would go onto the FOS website, fill out a form, send copies of all correspondence and also copies of your letters you sent Lloyds regarding your complaint, here is the FOS site and complaint forms further on that page.
