Just had notification from Picture- They are now trading under:
Picture Home Loans (No1) Ltd I assume this if for existing customers as I have just spoken to them and they no longer have a sales team. All PPI claims referred to FSCS.

Got the same letter today, just want them to be declared in default once and for all! I wonder if this company would offer me a better rebate figure !!:rotfl:

    Hi all

I posted on here a short while ago with some problems claiming back my PPI. I have been posted some documents with sums to work out and its completely mind boggoling!!!

    Can you help?

    I borrowed £5,000 over 3 years at a rate of 9.2%.

The full total paid including PPI was £6444.

Bank of Scotland realised they were in the wrong and said I will be refunded all premiums, just like I had taken the loan but without insurance.

I paid my loan off early, approximately 28 months into it, and paid a settlement figure of £2,151.20. I was a couple of days late paying this settlement figure and as a result they offered to clear off the £533.80 themselves off of the outstanding balance. As my mum and dad had sold their house they offered to pay the £2151.20 in full. So basically I saved £533.80 which was great.

I received a letter from them saying "we have now calculated what your settlement figure would have been ahd you not taken out the PPi in the first place; this resulted in an amount of £1931.77. As such we have therefore deducted this figure from the amount you actually repaid as a settlement.

    £2151.20 - Final amount paid 25/5/2005
£1931.77 - Recalculated settlement figure (with no PPI involved)
£219.43 - Overpayment which has been refunded to you.
    ________________________________

I dont understand, what about the other months where I paid PPI

Someone please help me with this or am I just going CRAZY????

If you need anymore information please ask.

    Thanks
    Charisse x

I have had the same problem in the past and i couldnt remember simple things like was the box ticked already for me or what. There are a few things you need to consider when trying to claim for ppi. Things like did they tell you it was compulasry? Did you pay upfront and it wasnt explained to you that some ppi policys allow you to pay monthly?

Ive used this website for my claim and was very successful www.consumer-credit-claims.co.uk they have many things to answer any questions you have about making a claim. They also have a PPI claim checklist that you can follow and find out if you hvae a successful claim. They also have a a large list of PPI claim FAQ's which could answer many of your questions so id advise visting this site if you have any problems making a claim.

Please be advised this person is posting the same or similar posts on different threads. Think they are touting for business so newbies beware. I would not touch them with a barge pole.

    Helloooooooo.:D

Good to know where you are here with these, its quite similar to another company who I tried to reclaim from, they were called allsorts on my paperwork, such as "Click loans, Click Financial Ltd, Click UK ltd" and so on, but as they supposedly dissolved in 2006, I am aware that they are run again as Click Financial, and what bugs me its the same directors too.

Unfortunately I am unable to complain as these deny any responsibility, and when taking out this loan with these it was in July 2004, and they were not covered by anyone....... , cannot even go to the FSCS about this one, because of this reasons, not the FOS.

Am waiting to hear from the FSCS now about confirmation on Eloan/Twoparts declaring default, have checked out the site but not added on their list yet.

    Just had a thought.........

Even though "END" were not covered by GISC when we had taken out the policy but I do now wonder if the brokers to these was....... "Click" , I have checked on the paperwork and its only the underwriting stuff but not been lucky to come across anything, so I suppose I could always contact the FOS about this one by ringing them......:D .
    Yet they dissolved....... , can't win can I ?:o

Maybe worth a try, I don't think they were, then the FOS may not even know...... .

Still not had the chance to get the letters done......:o , its been quite hectic today..... .
