Damn it I was hoping it was just a mistake on FOS part!0 -

Ask them where the 78% comes from and what it relates to as well. Its nothing like 78% and what about the interest etc.0 -
Just got my dad to read me the letter - it says that at the time the loan took place (Feb 2006) Norton was not a member of the General insurance standarss council or FOS.
They've also sent back the complaints form that I sent them - what is going on?!?!?
I think the best thing to do is for me to ring the FOS - why do things never go to plan for me!!
Will keep you informed....
Hi Spoll hun.
Yes Marshallka is correct here, they would not have been able to have sold this product otherwise, this is so mis-leading information you have there on the paperwork, if it were prior to Jan 2005 then I would understand it then.
There are many others here mis sold by the same company, if you have time, browse through and see how they are getting on, but something is wrong here.

Hi again Spoll
Regarding my above post where I added the link of Norton Finance you can see they were regulated at from so and so month of 2004, the link you added about from the "consumeractiongroup", they probably just missed out of them being registered under the FOS.
I would check out their company reg number on your paperwork/documents, add it here we can make sure it is that of the same company, some companies tend to stop trading and start again under a new company number, don't think these were one of those though.;)

This sounds like a silly question - do you think I should call them or email them, I get nervous making phone calls to these (FP) sort of people, I hate speaking to intimidating people, and need to get my facts straight beforehand, silly really, I'm a teacher, so I should know better!!!!DEBT free:j0
