    Hi, Morning guys

My girlfriend was blatantly mis-sold her PPI by the lovely man at Natty west, having met him I can see why, he hasnt a clue.

We have begun the reclamation procedure and sent off the original letter, however it was by first class post and not recorded, this was around 3 months ago and we have had nothing back from them.

What should we do? Re-send the first letter or go to stage 2?

    All advice is welcome.
I would sendit again, recorded or I sent mine special delivery (Gauranteed next day delivery) it cost £4.50 but you can check on Royal Mail website track and Trace where it will confirm it has been delivered. They cannot deny in then.

My Dad just called and said he had a lette from the FSO and they have said Norton Finance weren't covered by them at the time of the loan (Feb 2006). The loan was via FirstPlus but they said the PPI was arranged by Norton - what do we do now!?

Anybody and suggestions on the best thing to do?

Thats strange to not be covered to sell insurance as it was in 2006 and the FSA took over in 2005??? Are you sure as i thought it was compulsory to be covered after the 14th January, 2005??

    Hi there hunni.

Up to know I know that its not been confirmed that E-loan is in default, I contacted them yesterday about this and was informed by the guy from the FSCS that they were still waiting for some confirmation, as my application against E-loan has been in with these for approx a fortnight now.
I do know though that they dissolved in Approx May 2006, something like that, as stated in the letter sent from their liquidators begbies and traynor.

But like you said it well worth checking on the website to keep an eye on this, its very useful, thanks hun.;) .

I won't give up either. This isn't even my claim. It's my daughter's and her husband's, but I will go as far as I have to on this one.

  • Hi
I am looking for some advice, i had three loans with RBS they are now finished, however i wrote to them reclaiming my PPI back all for the same reason of being mis sold. I got two responses regarding two of them saying that they did not believe that they were mis sold so would not be refunding us anything (they amounts they qouted were £4000 and £2000). This was about 2 months ago, and yesterday in the post i received a letter for the 3rd one saying that they looked into it and could not find enough info regarding the PPI so would be refunding it to us (£594) which i am extreemly please about. My only question now is why were the other two claims refused when they were all taken out for the same reason. Would it be becase of the amounts were much higher. Should i now go back to them regarding the other two. Or just be gratefull for the £594 (which i am)

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

    Lee

Hi Lee, i would definately go back on the other two. What were the dates of the others and also have they offered this refund with any conditions attached and also what about the interest on the PPI of the third one???.

If this has been missold then they should put you back into the position as if you never had the PPI in the first place which means to include interest paid by you and also interest at 8% per annum. If you try to post all the details of all the loans and dates someone can help i am sure.

I have just been looking into this and if your loan/ppi was 2006 then i am sure that Norton Finance would have had to have been regulated to sell insurance. Can someone else please confirm this.... it was all regulated by the FSA in 2005. You say this letter was from the FOS too. I would wait for Tiggrae on this one. Something is wrong here.

They had to have been authrorised to make this sale.

If they were wrong with that one, I would think they are wrong with the others. Keep at them. You are entiltled to all payments plus interest plus 8% (the amount a court would grant)
