Hi, i'm looking for ome advice if anyone can help.
I was missold a policy by e-loans last year and should be entitled to well over £4000 back from them.
I received a letter today from the FSA saying that they have had to refer my case to a compensation company as e-loans are no longer trading.
I have had a look on their website and they are still advertising so am a bit confusd.
Has anyone else had anything like this?
I'm getting really worried that they are going to go bust and we'll lose all of this money.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated0 -

Hi Louise and SNAP.;)
You now need to contact the FSCS hun and make them aware of this, they will then send you a form.
Do you need the contact details for these ?
Let me know, because these will look into this for you and possibly pay out instead due to the company gone into voluntary liquidation.

If the company goes bust the claim is referred to Financial Services compensation scheme(FSCS) Thats the company the FSA are probably talking about. Check out there website its quite useful- go to consumers, there is a list a firms either in default or due to go into defaultdialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -

Hi there hunni.
Up to know I know that its not been confirmed that E-loan is in default, I contacted them yesterday about this and was informed by the guy from the FSCS that they were still waiting for some confirmation, as my application against E-loan has been in with these for approx a fortnight now.
I do know though that they dissolved in Approx May 2006, something like that, as stated in the letter sent from their liquidators begbies and traynor.
But like you said it well worth checking on the website to keep an eye on this, its very useful, thanks hun.;) .

I'm tackling First plus and central capital via the FSO as well. Keep getting letters saying they have no one to look at the case yet. did this happen to you? Is there anyway of getting the FSO to speed up? Any other advice on dealing with first plus most welcome as they put me i negative equity and the payments keep rising! :j0

Hello there.
As I assume this is a front loaded policy, you should be put back in the position as if you did not have the PPI to begin with.
They must refund you all paid in plus 8% interest on top of what a court would award.
If the loan is still active they normally recalculate to bring the amount down and I am aware you can request this in a cheque payment if you wanted to.;)
I do know that if the loan is settled, you will get back everything in ppi plus interest in cheque.;)
