Am trying to claim back PPI from Lloyds for my husband - We both had a payment protection plan at the time with prudential which pays out to me each month still as i have been unable to work due to disability for 10 years. They have sent a fob letter saying the financial review clearly shows insurances would have been discussed, However, the review actually shows i was recieving monthly benefit of nearly £600 from an IPP, should i accept the fob letter, or do second letter pointing this out to them - we both have IPP with prudential and pay £60 monthly for it.0

Hi there.
Its seems that lloyds are sending you their usual bog standard response, we have had all this, so don't let that put you off.
Was that their final response ?
If so take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman service.
I know they are so used to dealing with Lloyds by now mis selling, so go for it, you have nothing to loose.;)
If not then write again and tell them if they do not resolve and refund you your ppi plus interest on this you will not hesitate to take this to the FOS.
Good luck !

Hi all
So sorry to gatecrash but i've only just found out about reclaiming PPI and ive got a couple of questions if anyone can help me.
1) Just started a DMP with CCCS. Is it ok to reclaim back my PPI charges whilst on a DMP?
2) I have got 'extra care' cover with littlewoods. Is this a fancy term for PPI? Also can I reclaim back if I have ever used the cover?
3) My husband has a credit card with HFC. He got this when he took out a credit agreement with pc world for a laptop. Now ive just found the original agreement and it is clearly typed in the box regarding PPI 'NO'. However, having just checked through his statements they have been charging him since 2005! Can I claim for this or should he have noticed that it was being deducted?
Finally I have a dorothy perkins storecard and a halifax visa. Now I did pay for the PPI for both but cancelled the PPI payments. Can I claim for what I did pay or does it not count as the cover is now cancelled?
Many thanks in advance0 -

Hi there
And not to worry you are not gatecrashing and have every right to be here as much as everyone else.;)
Just get a complaint letter in to all of these if you believe you were mis-sold, and no matter what the insurance cover is classed as its all the same as ppi. (payment protection insurance), there is a complaint letter template on the front page, or check this out where it states "reclaim £1,000's" above or so.
On that index there is a list which may help you decide where you were mis sold on this product.
If you require further help-info just give us a yell and good luck !

£35 is to file the allocation questionaire - you also seriously need to look at the interest - you've signed a statement of truth which means the amount has to be correct or you could have your whole claim struck out - how did you calculate it ? If it's wrong you can apologise to the court and apply to have your claim changed
when i put a claim in on moneyclaim online the amount came to £1281 i added 8% interest to it but cant remember how i calculated it, how much would it be?0 -
Thanks busbyh for the update on picture, I was eager to know when they would actually be declared in Default.
Got a letter from the Fscs today and they are" currently looking at my claim"
and I "should hear from them soon"!!:j
I know that is probably standard lines they write to people but it made me excited that something is actually happening and they used the word soon:T
Luckily I had the original documents which I sent to the Fscs and wonder if Picture also has to supply a copy?
And if they differed what then?
Also in the post got a cheque for £70 for overpaying on a pension,
Got accepted by Barclays for their card which offers 6% for the term of a balance transfer and have transfered a balance of a high interest card.
And although GEMONEY won't accept my claim of mis selling PPI the phrase "as you were sold this in store we have no way of knowing what took place"
gives me a bit of hope the FLA see it differently.
So all in all a good post day!:DDS1 12/10/04

The PPI terma and condition have no place for a signature, - only the loan agreement. But the amount of the PPI is included in the loan!!.dialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0

I've never posted on this before but just wanted to find out if anyone is having the same problem as I am with regard to reclaiming PPI.
I took out a loan through Loans Group UK with First National, just over 5 years ago now. About 2 1/2 years ago I repaid the loan and assumed the balance of the insurance was included in the settlement figure. A couple of months ago I recevied a letter stating that the insurance was now finished! I rang GE Finance/First National and explained the situation but didn't get a satisfactory response - basically they told me that I would still have been able to claim on the insurance had I needed to in the last 2 years.
I then heard about PPI reclaiming and believe I was mis-sold the policy on the grounds that I wasn't given an option of taking it or not - basically the loan included insurance.
I sent my original mis-selling claim to GE who replied saying that as I had taken the loan through UK Loans I would need to deal with them. Wrote to them and 6 weeks later got my letter back saying the PO Box was cancelled. Have just written to them again at full postal address I found but don't hold much hope as I tried the phone no that went with this address and it's unobtainable.
Can anyone advise me where I might go from here? In this present economic climate I could really do with the refund, even if I could only get back the part refund from when I finished the loan
Thank you0
