Hi there.
This will vary depending on how complex the complaint is and how quick the other party come back.
However the FOS are a willing to give them extra time to forward information but only for so long with their own deadline.
Basically if they do not forward any extra information by the timescale given by the FOS they will just go by what they already received from yourself and the other side.;)
Mine was very complex (like them all really lol) and had taken just over a year from start to finish when paid out.
I do know though that on average they do state upto 6 months, some have been lucky to get it all resolved in 3.;)
I would ring them now and again or even email, they will tell you at what stage they are at, at present.
Good luck !

In relation to my claim against the Halifax which is now awaiting Court  I have written to them requesting that all interest and charges added to the balance of my credit card be put 'on hold' until such time as the dispute over PPI is resolved at Court. The interest that has been added to the account since the dispute over the PPI mis-sale started is at about £100 on a balance of £750, so I have asked that this be credited to my account immediately in accordance with OFT Guidance on Debt Collection and the Administration of Justice Act.
(Background - at the moment my card is at £750, with my court claim being for £1600 PPI plus interest so the balance of the card is effectively the useless PPI they sold me).Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Marshallka.
I need to pop out in a little while, just to a little "tea party"......:D , in case anyone thinks my puter has had it again......lol...... .
Oops I should not tempt fate....... .
Back later.:j  .

oping someone can help me Im new here so hoping for some advice.
I took out a loan with firstplus in 2006 which PPI was added, I complained and my complaint was upheld.
The loan was a total of: £120k including ppi which was added at the start of the loan, I was told this was essential.
They have offered me the following:
1. A full refund of the insurance premium £18000 plus interest of £3500 to be applied to my loan account.
2. A refund of PART of the monthly payments paid towards the insurance policy of £4400 (£136 a month) in a refund via cheque.
3. A refund of £500 in a total amount of 8% interest on payments made directly via cheque.
Does this sound reasonible or should I be able to argue that I could get a full refund of the PPI directly via cheque?
Thanks! Pixiedust xx0 -

Hi hun
Well done on this success on this, at least you have won this claim..
As the loan is still active I do think this is how they actually deal with this but you could contact them and suggest about the cheque in full and see what they have to say.
I'm sure one of the others, Tiggrae, Marshallka maybe able to offer some good advice here.
With mine as it was settled it was all refunded in cheque.
Give them a ring hun and see what they have to say, it may be a matter of choice, so suggest it.;)
Although they will be refunding the one cheque, if you have the rest deducted on the remainder of the loan it should bring it down quite a bit.;)
Good luck and well done !
