  • Is this applicable for car HP because I distinctly remember the salesman telling me that to get the loan i should accept payment protection
    !!
my car payments are £193 pm and without this it would be £163
but i am seriously struggling now and that has been for the last 3 years
    thinking of handing car back
    speaking of ford credit btw

    Hi there hun
Just wondering have you still got the Terms & Conditions for this HP ?
I'm sure this would have still been optional, and don't forget these sales people gain more on a commission if you accept the insurance, so if you can dig out the t&c's for this and check what it says, as I'm certain it would have been optional.;)
If you have not got these, maybe you could contact them and request for a copy of this, other than that try to reclaim anyway, you may be surprised.;)

Hiya hunni, and yes all went ok at the hospital hunni, thank you.
They are discharging him for now (as an outpatient) as he has been under these specialists for a few years now, (he has a form of Autism) special needs.;) , But does not sleep properly..... , he has never slept a full night from birth and he is 13 years old, but they will not give him anything as he is on others meds, although I didn't expect them too and don't really want him on anything anyway, and not only that I'm used to it now.......
So any problems now I just have to go back to his GP.

Okay now on to the FSCS, glad you got the details out of the way hun, now if you have not already heard, they will confirm if they can investigate this, which I imagine they will be able to, and then a form will be sent by post.

They cannot put a timescale as such on this unfortunately, but it can take anything from 4 weeks maybe up to 6 months.

The forms are not sent out in a hurry, but when we receive ours if we receive this before you I will let you know what is in them, is that okay hun ?;)

HELLO ALL, ....... Well, listen to this i received a lettter from teh adjudicator stating that he is now dealing with my case, and if there 's anythng else i would like to add etc, etc, so that was GREAT news to open that letter today, especially when i was about to post a letter to get my case fast tracked. anyhow i decide to give the adjudicator a call just to see when my deadline is for submittingh this info. I went straight to his line, and he picked, really friendly and helpful man, and he told me that he has wrote to BOS/Halifax and has UPHELD my complaint, i was over the moon. He said however he is just waiting for them to come back to him, cos they may say NO we are not having that, and then obviuosly thats a delay etc. theni told him about me conatcting halifax about taking the ppi off, and he said well to be honest they can only do something in the interim, because what they are going to have to do is restructure the whole 2 loans without PPI, and then also refund me for them, plus refund me for the other 3 i paid off early. again i had abig smile on my face, however, dont want to get too Excited until everything is finalised. so today the man calls me back from Halifax, about cancelling the PPI, but i was unable to talk as i was in a meeting, SO GUYS WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!!

Its certainly not the norm here. Even tiggrae has not heard of it. How much are they offering back and how much would be owing on the loan if you accepted it this way?

I have heard of banks doing it this way but not FOS letting the bank tell them to do it this way.

I wonder if this is what they are all going to do now. You owe me money so i will take what you owe me away from what i owe you. The banks are fighting back here maybe.

Is your loan reconstructed then?? What about the interest already paid on the PPI etc.?? What about the interest rate if it is accepted??

So hold, on whats happened here? what the FOS are saying that any PPI should be paid to the loan now? what about loans that youve already paid off? surely theyw ill give you back in cash/cheque? well ill be talking direct to my Adjudicator if he decides that;)

Please remind me hun, what letter was it ?
Was it a loan ppi reclaim or credit card ?

    Cheers.

I actually have both with them. I got the loan ppi paid back to my loan account but not the interest so am querying that and the credit card was a straight forward 'no'.
