    Thanks hun.:D

At least its a way forward, so fingers crossed it will be resolved through these. (FSCS)

We have also tried ringing the liquidators, left messages and emails since yesterday but no-one has got back yet.

I added what Singlep suggested and maybe 3 paragraphs with the most important matters involving eloan that sold and arranged the loan in Nov 2005, where we hold these responsible and so on, used a paragraph of what Singlep added, and some parts from Sarah, and made them aware of the lenders nemo but it was e-loan that sold this policy.
Tried not to complicate things like my letter would have lol.

And then sent all the documents by attachments, such as the letter from the liquidators, the e-loan agreement, the calculations of their underwriters paperwork of the PPI.

So a form will be sent out in due course.;)

I have only got my co-op one now and not any of the credit cards had it on or at least we do not think they did (cannot be ar**d to find out as no balances now), we made the mistake, after firstplus, of putting everything on the mortgage which we now find difficult to pay. Ah well, at least i may get some from the co-op in a few months. Not much but enought to sort christmas out. :D

(fighting virgin media at the mo through cisas and the tax office for 2001/02 and 2002/03 underpayment of tax credits too)

Ohhh and one more at the suggestion of tiggrae

Was it fast tracked then?? Sounds like it if you only actually asked for the fast track at end of June.

Let us know how you get on.:D
hi thinking of doing that myself, due to financial hardship, is there any standard letters to send?

Good luck with all these then hun.;)

There is a website that I thought I added on here before about overpayments of tax credits, if it's not your fault hun you can argue not to pay this back.

Do you want me to post you the website for this tax credits overpayments ?
You may have already come across this somewhere but its a good site and I know it has helped loads.;)

I was caught in that overpayments web and put them straight, I know these can be difficult and do not pay back more than you can afford.;)

Let me know if you want me to post the website, if so by post or PM.
    Cheers

Hi there Busta, I apologise for the delay in getting back to you.;)

The FOS may pick up on this but if you have a genuine enough reason for this then I imagine it should be okay.;)

It could have been that you were awaiting further correspondence or documents for you to investigate further or maybe you mis read and overlooked the deadline scale for this.

I have heard that others have been in the same situation and have been okay.;)

Try to not worry, we will come to that if we have to, fingers crossed it will all now be straight forward.

Keep us posted hun and good luck.;)

Aww Di, hope your feeling better? oh thanks for that, myabe i will wait and se about teh response to the others and then just explain that it was an oversight if it was not picked up. However Di im really thinking of getting this fast track due to financial hardship, what do you think? is there a standard letter?
in your honest opinon and expertise do you think my cases will be upheld againt halifax/BOS?

    Hi Busta.

With mine I sent copies of bank statements and anything that proved hardship, they will consider the fast tracking for you.;)
Letter-wise just explain in your own words about the financial difficulties and stress/inconvenience this has caused you and your family as it is a financial strain where you find it difficult to make ends meet, if this is what is your problem here you can add that.;)

    Good luck.

    Hiya hun and thank you.;)
I'm getting there now and feeling more at ease today.

Going from what I have read on your case hun you have every chance of it being upheld.;) Fingers crossed for you.

I have added a post above for you about the "fast track", give it a go hun you have nothing to lose, as most of us here are going through this and by providing evidence and an explanation should help the FOS decide.;)

I posted for some advice a couple of months ago and things have slowly progress to the following situation. A brief reminder of the details:

    Cash loan=£42k
    PPI=£10k

The loan was paid off early after 7months

    ----

After a (very long) letter from Norton Finance saying how they followed protocol etc saying that they acted fairly and responsible I wrote back as per Martins advice and they have come back with an offer of £1700. In this letter they say they still believe they fulfilled there obligations and this is a goodwill gesture.

I don’t believe they would make this goodwill gesture unless they thought that they were in the wrong. In peoples experience here is that a fair thing to assume? Myself and my Dad (who I’m doing this for) still believe that he was mis-sold the policy (due to it being a single premium policy and only being valid for 5yrs) and I’m keen to now take it to the ombudsman to reclaim the full amount.

Could I ask if you guys think this is the correct thing to do? £1700 is a lot to my dad and I’m worried if we go to the ombudsman he may end up with nothing. Again, being that we have had this offer surely this will be in our favour if we go to the ombudsman?

I really appreciate any advice that is offered…

    Hi there.

I would not leave that one there, that is terribly low......
When was this loan taken out hun ?

We can then guide you from here.
But that seems a bad offer and would go further with this, so if you can let us know when this was taken out we can get back with some answers for you.;)
