I know the feeling when it comes to the postie, here where I live we seem to end up with the surrounding streets mail, for instance, I'm Holly Lodge Green, the street behind the same but in Road, on the left is Gardens, the right, Close...... , if I get their post I post what belongs to them or at least redirect it in the post but you cannot always guarantee the neighbouring streets will do the same back....... .
I feel the postie only posts when he wants to here, and hates climbing the hill..... .The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
I've just made a complaint with the post office today. I posted a letter to Gibraltar by recorded delivery and it was posted on saturday 26th July. I missed the post for saturday but they told me it would go on Monday 28th July. It left the uk for a flight on 30th July. I have tried to track it online and it just keeps saying "passed to Gibraltar for posting". I have rang Royal Mail today as the letter still has not arrived to its destination and they have told me that you only have it tracked until it leaves the UK. I pay £4.00 a time for these letters and this one was very important. I told them that i needed to know if GIB postal services had delivered and they told me i would not be able to find out until another 20 working days have passed since the original 3/5 days it should of taken. What a waste of time that is. I shall make a complaint about this. I told Royal Mail they could in actual fact throw the items into the sea if they wished and then say that they had left the UK for the destination you wanted them to.
The only way you can find out is after about a month. Its sooo wrong. There is a postal service called airsure through the Royal Mail but that is not available for things delivered to GIB.
Going to follow this complaint through now with Royal Mail.
Might consider a cheap return flight for any other letters.0 -

Hi there
My partner is in the process of reclaiming PPI from Halifax which was mis-sold to him back in '02 (he was self employed).
They have written back stating they are not in the wrong, however as a 'valued customer we are prepared to put you back in the position you would have been in had not taken the insurance' done without admission etc etc.
They then said they will contact him shortly to confirm the exact details of the redress due to him.
Does this mean they will refund him what he's paid already, or should we expect a 'goodwill gesture' of a couple of hundred quid?
Has anyone else had this letter from Halifax, and if so, was it productive? We worked out he's paid over £4k since the loan began which would be excellent to have back along with reduced monthly payments.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!0
