Hi Di
just emailed our man at the FOS
I asked for his opinion on if it was possible to send a letter to NEMO and attached the letter for him to read.
he is the same guy who dealt with FP
been with FOS since jan 2008 so both complaints (FP & NEMO) were being dealt with at the same time by the same guy.

Thanks hun
Good one hun.;)
Please make a point of putting this into writing by stating "although this was a joint loan" I am only requesting a SAR for myself only, because if this is not added, they will use this as a stalling tactic, where they will write and say a further payment and and signature is required. I know, we've been there lol....:D , so yep if its only your dad hun, that's fine.
Good luck.;)
Di.

I'll be getting told off for being "off topic" here.
it helps

Will do Di - thanks. I've already seen the stalling tactics of a lot of lenders as soon as a SAR hits their doormat.
Current best is 70 days and counting for Barclaycard, who claim to have never heard of the person requesting the SAR - no record of their name, account, address, etc - even though the loan has been paid every month for the past four years! Oh, and Barclaycard rang up a few weeks ago to discuss payments, then sent a letter - to the person they've never heard of, at an address they don't have on file, regarding an account that doesn't exist ... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
And the fastest (once I gave them a rocket for not responding after 50 days) is Next Directory. They sent the SAR paperwork, and told me this was their final response - I hadn't even got as far as discussing inappropriate PPI :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:LBM November 2005: approx £32K :eek:Current debt: approx £12K :TGetting there one day at a time0 -

Think the top one is correct hun, but have you any names of the person from nemo ?
If I come across any more I will let ya know.;)
You can add their names, don't forget the dot between the first and surname, then @nemoloans.co.uk
Don't know if you know though hun, which I think is sooo wrong of these, they have blocked both me and hubby from emailing them since we received our SAR.......I wonder why   .
Good luck.

OMG what are these people like ......  , lol, well hun they have certainly not gone by the law.
Wish I had known about this earlier.
Now I will have to find that reminder template, they should by the law comply with SAR's no matter who by 40 days....... .
They think we're a soft touch, I used to be but not anymore lol....:D
And you have given me a right giggle here hun......:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

marshallka wrote: »We did not opt for it but it was made a condition of the loan and appeared as if by magic on the agreement all typed beautifully and yet the application prior to this said we did not want it and it was for a 10 year loan of 17K. When the agreement arrived it was typed and over 160 months and if we did not accept it as it was then we had no loan. On the 18th December we applied and 21st a proof copy was made (of which we did not receive) and then on 28th December the actual agreement was sent to us.
3 weeks prior to applying ( i have my letter from the doc to the neurologist here) i had been experiencing some very strange dizziness with a rapid nystagmus and could not walk straight. (had been on/off since my 2nd child was born and developed a malignant hypertension too).I went to my docs and she advised me that she thought i had a thrombosis and that i was being referred to a neurologist. We actually thought it was the start of MS or worse still a brain tumour. I then wanted to get some things straight and that is when we got on with the finances. I was actually diagnosed later with a condition called Benign Positional Vertigo which was a relief but still needed an MRI brain scan as some of the visable symptoms were not typical of the disease.( and i was just too young to get this). I am ok now but at the time it was so worrying. We just wanted to get things sorted and we did not argue the ppi and thought that they were a nice company and that was what everyone had to do.
We all live and learn.:mad:0
