Hi everyone,
Got the response below from m.colak regarding post for my brother. Does anyone know if there is a template letter which covers the reclaim of the application assessment, which apparently they should not have charged my brother?

Thanks in advance
Hi Sparky,
the brokers fee means that they are liable and responsible for the mis-sold ppi policy and it means that when you reclaim you send all letters to them. The application assessment is purely a loan setup fee and you should NOT have paid this as additional as they had already received a brokerage fee and as such weren't involved in the actual processing of the loan.
Once again thanks in advance for any help.AOLWebSuite .AOLPicturesFullSizeLink !! height: 1px; width: 1px; overflow: hidden; } .AOLWebSuite a {color:blue; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer}Sparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Hello again,
Has anyone heard of "The Associates" as a finacial institution? My brother has some paperwork in his SAR which names them, but nothing elseSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Total for SPC3 £1,030.57 Total For SPC 4 £2247.00 Total for SPC 5 £2574.62 :T Total for SPC 6 £4552.91:T

marshallka wrote: »Thanks for that singlep. We were all asking not long back just how much these companies are making on these SAR's from us. They can be useful for other things though. You do need a final response for the FOS. They will not look without it in words. They asked me to actually tell them the wording in my letter and it had to include "final response".
Sometimes a SAR is for peace of mind to ourselves too as they make us feel like we are going out of our minds. I hate being called a liar and will do all i can to prove myself otherwise.
Hi, you don't need a final response if you have waited longer than 8 weeks for the bank or loan company to respond fully to your complaint. FP took longer than 8 weeks with me as after each letter I wrote, they said they would respond within 8 weeks thereby buying themselves months so I went to the FOS before I got their final response which I didn't get until about 3-4 weeks after I had sent my complaint to FOS.
Also I didn't request a SAR either but they mentioned what was said in telephone conversations so I asked for copies of these which they sent for free. No point lining their pockets further. I think that if they do get found by the FOS to have mis-sold, everyone should ask for their tenner back with interest!

got reply from FOS
[FONT=Tahoma, Arial]Dear Mrs
I don't see any harm in sending the letter however I expect Nemo's
response will be that the case is now with the ombudsman and therefore
it will await the outcome of the investigation. I wrote to you yesterday
saying that Nemo had rejected my assessment of your complaint and
requested that the case be reviewed by an ombudsman. Prior to doing this
you have the opportunity to make an additional comments on my assessment
- a copy of which I sent you. I will await hearing from you further.
Yours sincerely
SO will post up when I receive it:mad:

I think they do have to give you the interest they charged you as well don't they?
Don't really know what to say to you Marshallka, have read all your posts and you must be tearing your hair out. I hope you get somewhere but, if not, if I were you I would post your story all over the internet and anywhere else you can and try and get them as much bad publicity as possible so that they go as far under as they have made you go!0
