Tiggrae, going back to this one added last week or so, do you remember you said to go to FOS to tell them that I want to evoke section 75 of the CCA 1974, about Endeavour/Click who were linked to HFC and HSBC groups, well ths complaint was sent back to me from the FOS so I have already been to that stage, now to save any confusion here, do you recommend I write to the firms again, (apart from Click due to dissolving) but HFC were linked to these, or just go back to the FOS with the same complaint to tell them I want to evoke section 75 and so on?

When the FOS send this complaint back because they could not deal with it with them not being regulated, they did say if I have anything further to tell them about this complaint to get in touch.
Not sure now to start all again, but yet I have not actually been in touch with HFC and HSBC yet, so think I should write to these first too, what do you think hun ?

    Thanks again.;)

    Di.

Hi Di - yes you've got to start the complaint process again, the FOS will not look at anything unless you have tried with the business your claiming again 1st - write with the same complaint but at the front state you are invoking Section's 56 & 75 of the CCA '74 act - put in a copy of the document from the Office of fair trading

    Wonderful, thank you tiggrae.;)

I had printed off a few earlier today from the link you left before, cheers.

Do you think it may be a good idea for me to highlight any of the wordings for this to stand out, or just leave as it is ?

    thanks again.;)

Tiggrae, if you are around another one for you here. The data protection register - i have just entered Firstplus into it and they had a licence from 26th May 2000 by the look of it. Does that mean before that date they did not. I don't know if this register enters the dates of the new licences or when they actually registered. If you could please clarify to me as i am stuck.
Data protection in the UK is governed by the Data Protection Act 1998. The Act came into force on 1 March 2000. It regulates the obtaining, holding, using, processing and disclosing of information relating to individuals. The Act applies both to manual data and data processed by computers. Prior to this there was no requirement to register.

  • Di, is this the Endeavour loan from 2004?

Are you not going down the unenforceable/voidable route with that one?

When i go on companies house for Wilmslow Financial Services (ACTIVE) it seems that they changed their name from Quote Manager Limited on 5th October, 2000 and then Freedom Finance Limited on 23rd February, 2001. I want to find out about this "Quote Manager Limited" and why did they do this???

There is nothing about them. My first port of call was apparently Wilmslow Financial Services.

Also Wilmlsow Finance LImited is still active with a name change from TOTALDOUBLE LIMITED on 19th February, 1991.

I am so confused with these companies just like Di. I was told that Freedom Finance is the new Wilmslow Financial Services.

Thanks for that Laini, i am fine thanks, my puter was virused (fixed now) and had to go on the lap top and i hate typing on it. I have had my letter but nothing to report as i have to write back. Its just a waiting game now.

Have your received your other cheque yet Laini???
I hope you have, it seems to have dried up a bit on here just lately. Most people have won or lost or just not been back on. I think sarah will be back soon and m colak has made an appearance but left again.

Keep us up to date with your other cheque..

    I will pm you later
  • I'm still waiting to find out how much Halifax are going to refund, and whether it will clear my outstanding loan balance.

The FOS warned me that it could be a month before Halifax get back to me

All of my other reclaims are either still with the lenders, or with the FOS waiting for adjudication.

So, I'm just hanging about waiting. Will update as and when I get any news.
