Thats what I thought too hun, when you have a minute please take a look and see if I'm right.........just in case cheers hun.;) (present number added in above link).
Even my older son said, someone has to be liable, my hubby has not got a clue, my son said if the company has dissolved them someone must have taken over the assets, not that of the liquidators, because these have to be sold on, and there would be many other customers too I imagine but I have not come across any yet. To me that would be the present company now who are responsible, what do you think ?
Cheers hun and I have one big headache over this right now, but am determined to get to the bottom of it.;)
Thank you so much.
Di.

If i had left my debt to someone else to pick up then i wouldn't be in the situation i am in now. Instead i was in debt and used Freedom/Bespoke Finance who induced me to more debt and not fogetting Firstplus of course, and then ended up in a bottomless pit. I hope they all end up the same.0 -
these are two separately registered companies 04183791 is Click Financial Limited previous name 1 Click (UK) limited, incorporated 21/3/2001 with offices in Farnham Surrey
04239176 was Click Finance Limited, registered office in Leeds - previous name 1 Click Loans Limited - incorporated 21/6/2001 dissoved June 2006
Which company did you deal with - as the first is still active !!!!
It was the 2nd one hun, going by the reg numbers, its just so confusing and annoying that some same logo names were on some of the paperwork. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

They are robbing people blind (and our country) and getting away with it. They seem to set up companies, dissolve them and then leave their debts and set up more. Why is it allowed??

Elsie, gutted for you. I think it's a complete negation of their resposibiliies to the customer for any bank to behave in this way towards their customers something which highlights them for the unscrupulous sharks they are.
I'm interested in what your experience was with the Limitations Act as my claim against the Halifax is in relation to PPI I was paying until 2006 on a still live account, but for which the CCA was signed in May 01. They say that the Limitations Act is in force as it is longer than 6 years ago, and therefore, they shouldn't be liable for anything arising out of this.
Does the recent payments of premiums as well as my awareness of the mis-sale in 2006 negate this? Would be interested to hear your and other MSEr's comments.
Thanks in advance.
All i can really tell you is what the judges decision was on the day. I believed that although i had taken the loans in June 2001, they were only closed in September 2002 and as i started my complaint with the bank in 2007, i believe that i had a case. The judge however, stated that he looks at the date court papers went in which was March 08 and as a result is outside of the 6 years. He said it was clear to him that the statue of limitations was to be used in my case.Bank charge Victories 07:MBNA:£205.77.Natwest Credit Card:£250.A&L Bank:£549.68.First Direct:£1183.50.Natwest:£112.33+£200 compo.Marbles CC:£298.Providian CC:£181.Capitol One CC:£388.46.PPI requests:A&L credit card/First Direct loan: At Court stage.Marbles CC:£213.02 refunded.GE Money:£562.34 refunded.First Direct credit card:£747.83 refunded.0 -
Hi,
I've just recieved a letter back from lloyds rejecting my recent complaint.
My complaint was that i was misinformed and mislead about the unemployment benefit (which i specifically inquired about) when taking out the PPI. When made unemployed about 3 years ago for roughly 6-9 months, i tried to claim and was told that my situation was not covered. I then asked to cancel my PPI as it was usless to me and was told i couldn't as it was part of the loan.
I also asked when making my recent written complaint, that they honour my previous request to cancel my PPI.
The response is -
They reject my complaint because they train their sales staff to fully explain the PPI conditions.
AND
They have no record of me asking for my PPI to be cancelled.
They also resent me a copy of the PPI documents, which to me don't explain the term voluntary unemployment in any detail.
This PPI was a single premium which was added to my loan at the start.
The rejection letter did say that they would be happy to cancel my PPI if i ring them (and that they have offered this to any complainant asking to cancel their PPI), which i did yesterday but have had no further response.
Does anyone know where i stand, i've sent the second template letter giving them 14 days to respond satisfactoraly. Will this work?
Cheers Dan.0 -

Hi Dan.;)
Mine with Lloyds TSB is now with the Ombudsman, as I also received fob off letters, you have done the right thing to exhaust the system by writing again where they should supply you with their final response, if no success with the 2nd letter, they should state its the final response then go to the FOS.;)
I will warn you though hun, these are not good with their timescale deadlines, my hubby is fed up of receiving letters regarding his complaint of ppi with them by receiving letters that they have not made a decision yet but should be able to by 4 weeks, he has received 2 of those actual letters, but did also point out that at that point the complaint can go forward to the FOS.
So instead of waiting for another fob off letter its now with the FOS.
The next letter you recieve should be that of a final response, I hope you get lucky, but if not then you know what to do.;)
If you need further info hun just post away where someone will get back to guide you.
Good luck.
Di.

Just an update, still have not settled my argument/complaint with Bespoke Finance/Freedom Finance yet. My letter has arrived but not anything to talk about. I will have to send another. This has now taken 3 months of my life up but i will fight to the end. I feel toooo strong about it to let it drop. Just have to take this further i thinks. I don't want to have to as i want to get on with my life but they are not going to get away with it. Firstplus have now closed down and Freedom Finance take most of their customers to them. I bet they will be next in line.
I could do with a Firstplus "whistle blower" on here.0 -
Thanks for the response Di,
Any idea how long FOS take?0 -

Hi hun, no prbs.
As soon as you fill in your complaint with the FOS, post it by recorded delivery so that it can be tracked down on the royal mail website, then within a week or 2 you should receive a letter to confirm this have arrived and is secure, and waiting to be passed on to a caseworker/adjudicator.
They keep in touch and forward you with contact details if you need to make contact direct.
Time can vary, but a lot of cases are dealt within 3 - 6 months, maybe sooner, depending on how complex the case is, it may be straight forward.
If this is upheld by the caseworker and not successful at that stage where the firm involved may try to deny responsibility or mis selling, then at this point the caseworker will request further information from both sides.
This then is moved on to the actual ombudsman themselves if not resolved earlier where they dig deeper and try to settle the complaint their end.
If it goes as far as this stage though to the ombudsman it takes longer from my experience.
Here is the site if you want to check them out:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm
This should give you more of an idea.;)
