    Hi,

It was with The Funding Network who did us a GE Home Lending Loan. I originally made the mistake of going to GE Money who sent me back to brokers so started complaint with them in February. It took a while but it was definately missold, the old upfront payment, interest on it for 25 years but only lasts for 5, single cover on joint loan, the list goes on.....

i have just received my final response letter from welcome. They are repaying the premiums i have paid on the present loan.On the others they say it was my fault and that they follow strict guidelines and that all their staff have passed a specific insurance sales training course. They also say that i was made aware that the ppi would comprise part of the monthly repayments as shown by the signed personal agreements

in short where do i go from here. I was never made aware of the fact that the ppi was optional and was never told that i could cancel it at any time

OK as your intial loan started on 7th June 2005, you can take your complaint regarding these two loans to the Financial Ombudsman are they are well within the time limit for him to be able to look at a claim against Welcome Finance. You can downloan the complaint form for the Financial Ombudsman's website.

Yikes I have not even started my complaint letter to HFC yet, came to a halt due to lots of other stuff going on but tend to get this done with by tonight to take to the post office tomorrow.
Thanks again Marshallka, you have given me a good nudge to get this one going lol......:D .

Anyway on to one of my others, not sure if you can remember but I sent a SAR to e-loan the brokers of the lenders Nemo, e-loan received my request yesterday.
I popped out earlier and when I arrive home I always check 1471 because not everyone likes leaving messages.
It was e-loans tel number...... , hubby then checked his moby as he missed his call and it was again e-loans number........ .

Now why do I have a feeling that they will say that they are unable to provide the SAR request ?........ .
I have already received the SAR from the lenders Nemo, where they state all the information they sent is from the loan advance and when we first started the loan it was arranged by e-loan who should provide that part..... .

Am I right in saying that these loan brokers should also provide these SAR's on request ?
Besides I will not accept anything verbally, they must go by the rules and confirm everything in writing.

I do have a feeling about this.
Will tell you more when I hear, its obvious its do to with the SAR.

    Cheers folks.

  • Just been made aware of reclaiming PPI. Sent my letter to HFC Bank straight away!! Very pushy people and not trustworthy at all. Sent a SAR to GE Money as i don't have the account numbers to quote on my letter, same with Yorkshire Bank.

Has anyone had success with either of these?
