The loan was taken out on 9th jan 2005 and paid off in November 2007. I have been trying to find the GISC website, do they still exist, would they be likely to investigate? cheers! Steve
Mine got as far as an adjudicator last time and then two days later they wrote back saying the same as they said to you. I realise my loan was taken out in 2000 so outside for selling but this was about unfair settlement. I think they really have messed up here just like with mine.
I did not resubmit in time and had to go back of the queue again.0 -
Di not wishing to teach my granny to such eggs as such but if the police get involved now it will show the rest of the bullies and the school that you are not willing to accept this. As I am sure you are not.
Your right, and I will not let the school tell us otherwise, thanks hunni.;) xxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
Apologies if this has already been asked by someone else.
I have an Egg loan which is still ongoing and I have just noticed I have PPI attached to it. As Egg is done online, what are my chances of having a successful claim? I can't remember what I agreed when I took out the loan, but I think it goes back to 2002/2001. Thanks.Nyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -
I have kept all correspondance, I have it right here in front of me now. So basicly, what your saying is that I should resubmit my complaint to the FOS? How do I avoid going into a lengthy queue? And what do I need to quote to ensure I dont get rebuffed again? Is there some code of practice from pre 14th jan 2005 from the GISC that will give me some back up? Cheers! Its beginning to turn into a nice ending to my day!0

Hi Sammy
I would still try to reclaim on this, if you did not know you had this then they may have added this product without your knowledge.
Is this loan still active or settled ?
Have you any paperwork on this loan from when you had this ?
If you need the template to help you reclaim on this let me know.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Steven you should re-submit this and tell them you are aware this was under GISC a the time you had taken out this policy.;)
Marshallka will guide you here hun, as she has experience with these herself.
Good luck.
Steven call the Fos first thing and tell them what Marshallka and Di have told you about this and try and get your claim put back where it was, its not your fault they have made a mistake. Will be interested to see what they say.DS1 12/10/04

Hi di3004.
The loan is still active have about £1500 left to pay finishes Apr 2010. I don't think that they would have just added it probably me just not noticing! I can't find the paperwork so the template would be great. Do you know whether this far back it would have been a condition of the loan as some people have mentioned? Would this be stated in my paperwork.
The template letter would be great.

Hi all,
Not posted on this thread for months, but need some advice.:D
I had a loan with RBS that finished over 6 years ago. Wasn't going to try a reclaim as I thought it was too old, but i've been sorting out some old personal paperwork and have come accross the original documents for the loan. Is it worth trying to reclaim and can the FOS help if it is so old? The loan was taken out in 1999 and paid off in 2002. The ppi loan was a single premium of £1250 so it's not chicken feed as i'm now on a DMP, and RBS are one of my creditors albeit in the giese of Mint and Tesco finance so could go towards paying them off.
Any advice appeciated.
