Heya
I don't know yet he's still at the vets, can't pick him up till about 5 pm. He cried all the way there though :-(
I'm sure he's ok cos I would have heard from them otherwise. Thanks for asking.
I've sat here all day doing nothing when I have loads of things I should be doing!!!0 -

Quick query, i've had my repsonse from Egg about my 3k of PPI - they've basically said that as i applied online then it doesnt count and i need to go to the Financial ombudsman.
Its correct i did apply online for the original loan, but then foolishly topped it up that was over the phone as you cant do it online.
Any advice or do i write to the FOS? If i do need to write to them is there a template letter i can adapt?
Thanks all so much for your help
You then have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. During this time if it is not resolved they will provide you with either another letter that is not a final and gives you a chance to write again or the final response. You then and only then can take this complaint to the FOS.
If you need any help just shout away0 -

Yeah, at least he will come back a little bit lighter lol. He's heavy when he sits on my back to wake me in the morning!!
Hey, I saw there's a job going at moneysavingexpert. One of you two should apply lol.
He sounds like a wonderful cat hunni, love him.;)
Wow really, wonder if Marshallka will be interested ? now she is the one with the brains......:D. Thanks hun.;)

Arh this is yet another then ??
There are some posts about this on this thread hun as someone else had asked about this the other day too, some companies seem to send these now going from what I have been reading so far, but hun do not worry about it, you stick to your guns as I seem to think they are just trying to put you off.
Its likely to be questions about the PPI.
I would just send it back with a letter and tell them they know what they need to know because you have already informed them on your first letter.
See what other options are given here hunni and good luck.;)
Haha, certainly is. I have one with HSBC and two with Abbey. HSBC loan is paid up at Xmas, 1st Abbey one next May, so I want full refunds on those. Second Abbey loan has about another three years to go so I'd be happy for them to refund the PPI for that one by taking it off the outstanding amount.
HSBC have been pretty good so far, said they're requesting info from my branch and has given it until next wednesday to provide it, so things seem to be moving along already (I hope!).
Abbey has sent these questionnaires out, probably to try and make this seem like more hassle than it's worth, but I'm not going to give up! I think both you and Marshallka are right - I'll probably just send it back saying they should already have this information. I've still got the paperwork for the second loan so can send them a photocopy of that too - with arrows pointing at the sections which prove I was mis-sold!
Thanks to you both for you help, as ever, I'll keep you updated. Out of interest (if you don't mind), would you mind giving me a brief overview of your successes/failures? One can never have too much motivation!

Hi there Ali.
And the very best of luck to you hunni, its your money so get it all back....:j.
Basically I did have a very complexed complaint against a loan company of Nemo personal finance, they denied mis selling this went to the FOS in Oct 2006, we were finally paid out Jan 2008, okay it was well worth it and not far off £13K was refunded back on this one.;)
Yet another one of mine, was with Liverpool Victoria, this had only taken a few weeks, even the first letter, they replied back within a week and admitted that this was possibly mis-sold, even though not a large one it was not far off £2K refunded. (so no FOS with this one).;)
Now onto other cases I have a few Lloyds loan ppi complaints to get on with, I have slacked on this one, but its going to be sorted out now this week, the letter will be sent, and the FOS is dealing with a Lloyds Credit Card ppi right now with is actually with the adjudicator.
My hubby has 2 of his Credit card again lloyds ppi with the FOS right now but still waiting for them to be passed on to get looked at.
We have an Endeavour complaint in to the FOS, but only in the beginning with that one really.
I will post up as I go along - as when I hear something.
I do hope you get all yours back without an hitch hun, good luck !:D
