PPI Reclaiming discussion Part II

Marshallka that is standard procedure, have not read your post before this but all you are saying is that you are accepting this one to the terms and conditions laid out by the ombudsman. If Co op do not sort out their figures as per the FOS then you can go back to negotiate. This is what I have done. If your agree with workings out of the one complaint as set out in the figures or workings out e.g. to take you back to your position if PPI was not added plus 8% then sign it.
They actually state this would be in full and final settlement of "your" "complaint" and my complaint was about 4 loans. Do you see where I am coming from here.0 -
I don't think mortgage payment protection is the same as PPI for a loan. I think you should try and contact the local Citizens Advice Bureau or go to a solicitors that would give you a free consultation. Ring round local solicitors and explain the position and see what they say. I will look it up more for you tomorrow and post back your options.
Yes come to think of it, I'm sure this is different, so thanks for adding this Anne.....;) .
Hopefully this lovely lady would be eligible under legal aid sort of thing to get this sorted out.
Well done Anne for adding this.:T.

Brilliant idea, if Marshallka just writes accepting for loan Acc XXXXXXXX then that is for that one only, as I do think anyway they treat these as complete separate loans.;)
(Marshallka can always add a bit of a note to say other 3 waiting to hear).;)
Have a good night maxdp, catch you tomorrow.
Di.

If I accept then it is in regards to this complaint and full and final. I would not be able to make any more complaints about the others seperate...0 -
marshallka wrote: »But maxdp, my first letter of complaint was about the last loan of 2002 as they took over 7 weeks to send the agreements for the others and I wanted to get the complaint in. I then received the other agreements (was told over the phone that no PPI was added) and two weeks later wrote to the same person and said that all four were actually missold. They then wrote to me and only ackowledged my first complaint of the 2002 loan and never bothered to reply to my other letter whereby I state all four loans were missold. They said it was their final response in the matter. If i sign this then I am signing that my "complaint" with the co-op is full and final and it is not. They could then state that this settlement was in regards to my complaint letter whereby I mention all four loans and I do not want to sign for something and do myself out of £6K. You have to be very careful.

Yeah come to think of it they could well do think that your agreeing to them all then....., I am still trying to get my head around this, its so baffling, and I wish they would state they will be sorting the whole lot out !!!

I agree you could be taking a risk then, I do understand, also left a comment above hun, this one has been really mind blowing, because the FOS have not made anything clear really and you need to know this because its not worth signing for anything right yet then if this is the case, you just need to know.
Wish they would just get on with them all, its very frustrating.......The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Again, another one of mine messed up. I thought this was straight forward. Complaint in about one. Mentioned the others. Sent Co-op letter to give them a chance. Sent in all agreements and statements. First adjudicator wrote to co-op - then he left... or ill.. or what ever and then my complaint is left unattended for 5 weeks. Today it is picked up by someone else and they have to try to work out the other persons workings.
My hubby is an electrician and it like him picking up on someone elses wiring. I was an accounts clerk and it was murder taking on a job that someone else had started. Its just a complete and utter mess and I just want this sorting quick.0 -
Just had a shower, feel loads fresher.....:D
Is this site slow again tonight ?
Especially when posting......The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

And all this is now botched up because of a different adjudicator  , they have messed this up though !
And now they should put it right !
You have done your bit, they should do their bit now, what on earth is going on with them all ??
I am hoping they will contact you to put your mind at ease to say they will now deal with them all, because yes I see your point here, if you agree to that offer now that may be the end of it.The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Maybe i did by adding the other loans but I did ask the adjudicator and he actually rang me and asked me when i became aware if you remember. I then assumed that everything was being looked into. Next thing was yesterday I was told my complaint was to be allocated to another adjudicator.
Am I allowed to see the copy of the co-op's letter to FOS at all. Do they let you see them. This would be very useful as to what the first adjudicator actually wrote to them.0 -

Not seen any of them in a while.....
I would ask if they are able to send you a copy of any of Co -ops correspondence and the FOS's, no harm in asking.
If you contact them again tomorrow, mention again about these other loans, while you request for any letters etc.
I know at the end of my case, when it was settled (nemo), the FOS returned everything back to me and to what I recall the information from Nemo.
I would love to know what they wrote too, I would be very curious....The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
