    Thanks for that. I am breathing.....just!!! It just seems they are ripping me off constantly one way or another. I'll copy and paste it in the laons, thanks!!!
    Leave the PPI here but about the extending the term and no agreement by you I am not so sure about this?? You still need to get on with the misselling but I wonder what happened to the PPI if they extended this for you. Was the old loan then done with and a new one drawn up perhaps?? If this is the case then you need to find out about how much rebate against the first PPI there was... Like I say we really could do with a bit more detail. Perhaps get them to write it all down for you in a letter and then post it up as I don't think you really know either here.

    I've never had any notification of anything. the new agreement, the PPI, the cancellation, nothing. I didn't even know they had extended the term till recently when I contacted them to say I wanted to discuss the reduced payment issue.

    Personally I would contact them and ask them to provide you with copies of these if they cannot do this then this is just not right, so if you can hun, give them a ring and ask for these and any copies of calculations in a written form through the post.;)

  • Well I'm guessing that because they 'loaned' me the PPI money to the amount of £5056 and added it to the loan before putting all the interest on then it's probable all tied up in the extended terms as well as the rest of it. But because I've recieved no documentation I've no idea.

    With a bit of luck they will provide these for you on request.;)

    We will know then more about the PPI side of it.

    What the blummin heck is Yah Coalhouse... Is it a film?? Not watched a film in months maybe even up to a year or so.:o Just checked our BBC and not on here...We got Panorama.

    I only "catch" the soaps when on here and just watch reality type tv shows. Films take concentration and I am lacking that at the mo.

    It is quiet again. I have been hopping between here and the mortgage thread as I want to learn about them too. (seems to be another area where we struggle). I think its ok really over there just they do not have the sympathy that we have. It seems to be like I was bought up. You made your bed, you lie in it...

    I am hoping someone can help. I have recently asked for a copy of my loan agreements/paperwork from Lomard Direct (RBS) and received these 2 weeks ago. I have written to them using the template saying I have been missold as they did not tell me about the PPI when I was taking out the loan (was processed over the phone and advisor quoted amount with PPI included) The thing is I have signed the paperwork with the PPI on?? Is this going to affect my claim or do I even still have a claim?? Should I have been told about the PPI over the phone at the point of sale.

    Anyway I have received a response from them today saying they are investigating and can I fill in a questionnaire in the meantime. I am not sure what to do next, whether I should fill it in, or should they have this information??

    Questions are as follows:

    Personal details

    Please confirm your employment status when you taken out the policy?
    Please confirm your total working hours per week when you taken out the policy?
    Please provide details of any existing policies that you held, or if appropriate, details of why you now feel you had no requirement for the plan?

    Your recollections

    Please confirm how you applied for the policy, example through NatWest or RBS branch (please provide name of branch, over the phone or via the internet)

    Please provide details of the loan/credit agreement, eg. Personal loan, credit card, mortgage, overdraft, etc, that the policy was taken out to protect.

    Type of agreement;
    Name of provider/lender;

    Loan account number/reference number;

    Please provide your recollections of the description of the policy that was given to you by the seller. If you believe that the plan differs from the description given, please explain how.

    Did you provide the staff member with any details of any cover that was in place before proceeding with the application and what was the sellers response.

    Did the salesperson provide you with any brochures/literature regarding the policy and level of service that was being provided to you? If so, please list the titles of these documents and, if possible, please provide copies.

    Complaint details

    If there are any further issues that you would like this office to investigate, please detail them below.

    Please provide any other information that you feel may be relevant to your claim.

    Sorry for long post but any help would be appreciated.. I am claiming for approx £3000.

    Many thanks

    All I personally would do here is answer the questions on the questionaire that are applicable to YOUR claim and also state that your main reason was that this was sold to you a single premium policy with no details of the policy and most important to this that you loaned the money to pay the premium hence interest on this for the full term of the loan. All questions that you feel not applicable as these were not conditions of having the loan and in your terms and conditions I would leave out. Tell them this type of policy was not appropiate for you and that you were not given the option to buy it elsewhere cheaper and cancelable with no interest.

    Send it back and reiterate your claim and get a final response. I would also add that most of this information they should already have had and if they did not then its not use asking for it AFTER giving you the loan.

    Hi Dave

    Do not worry about it.

    It will certainly NOT affect your claim on this, they are trying to fob you off, so write back and tell them, it was their responsibility to make sure you would be eligible for the loan/ppi and not yours as you are the customer and they should have also followed the selling guidelines.

    When did you take out this loan Dave ?

    And besides if you cannot recall on receiving any leaflets/brochures etc tell them you are unable to remember.

    Even if you was eligible for the ppi it did not mean you wanted it and you may have thought it was the condition of having the loan because THEY did not tell you otherwise.

    Dave do not worry hun, and I am sure there will be other responses to this here for you, keep on checking on here just in case.

    Don't forget they were the sales person and not you, they should have explained the full lot to you, brochures or not.;)
