I'm a late arrival on the scene here, but I need to do this to. I work from home and was drowning in pieces of paper related to my business. My challenge this week is to finish the filing away of old paperwork and make certain all new contacts get entered into my new contacts management database.

Well I finished my filing, but have got several new contacts to go onto the database though, as I've spent 5 days walking round delivering magazines. Am praying I get some response to the advert for some people to help me next month.

Task for this week is to tidy the house ready for visitors next weekend and to finish magazine deliveries next Saturday.

I've had an incredibly tough week emotionally so haven't been remotely OS, never mind keeping up with my changes. But I think I've turned a corner - made a loaf of bread from scratch today (the kneading was very therapeutic!!!) and have done a few other household jobs. So I'm going to reactivate my Macaw membership :-) This week it'll be taking a packed lunch to work every day (again - I've fallen off the wagon......).

Congratulations to everyone for last week and good luck for this next one.

I only just managed my challenge for this week (make a plan to organise daily cleaning) - I should have done it at the beginning of last week as from tuesday onwards I had no time to do anything. Still, managed to do it yesterday! :T

My challenge for this week SHOULD be straightforward, but I nearly struggled tonight! I want to make my lunch in the evening ready to take to work the next day. This will save me from either having to rush in the morning (never good) or, even worse, not bother and buy from the canteen (which is subsidised so cheap, but still better to take my own). Ideally if I can sort it out whilst making tea it won't seem like extra work, but as long as it's done in the evening I'll consider it as challenge met.

Hi everyone! Only just found this thread.

I can relate to most of the challenges that people have set themselves. I try all the time to sort out mail, sometimes leave it for weeks so miss lots of things, put washing away, sometimes (no most times) last lot still there when next is ready, started to sort the loft last weekend, but just ended up with lots of stuff in the bedroom waiting to be sorted.

If I had found this last week I could have put my name down. I actually did manage to take lunch to work every day, whereas I usually have to buy something, this was commented on by my colleagues. It came about by using up leftovers and trying to eat more fruit and veg, so pluses on all these counts. So backdating this challenge as achieved:j I can try another this week and hope that by posting here I can maintain my motivation.

I think perhaps keeping on top of the washing and ironing should be my priority this week, but will need a superhuman effort to get to the baseline! It really needs the wardrobes to be sorted so I can find the room.

After that if I can keep it up for a couple of weeks I can move on.

Good luck to all in your efforts.

Welcome new MACAWers. Hope you enjoy being with us and that it helps you to achieve your goals!!

My change for this week is to keep up with the washing. I'm starting training for a new job on Wednesday, and starting training to become a budget advisor on Friday & Saturday, so along with my other two part time jobs I'm going to be up to my eyeballs in work.

To put my change into action, I intend to put a load of washing on every night. If I can get it hung out at night, too, all well and good, but if I don't it won't take so long in the morning to do. That will give me the time to put on a smaller load in the morning if I need to.

    So . . . I will:
    • Keep up with inbox and computer desk from the last two weeks
    • Do a load of washing each night for this weeks change.
    Wish me luck

My challenge last week was to deal with the paperwork daily as it came into the house and wow I sit at the table with a bin next to me and just get on with it, so much better, just have the backlog to deal with now:o but it's getting smaller!

This week I need to sort out online banking and maybe even go paperfree!
