Hi, my mixed bean thing turned out really tasty.
I added a jar (shhh don't tell anyone it wasn't homemade) of M&S tomato and chilli pasta sauce and a huge dollop of bar-be-que sauce and it was yum.
I've got the ingredients for some more fruitcake loafs in my mixing bowl and the oven is warming, so I've got to leave to collect miss Twit at 8.10, so I'll put the cakes in as I leave and hopefully they will be almost done by the time I return.
I've got some more bun and muffin cases for my next lemon drizzle batch and I've even bought some of those little jelly orange and lemon slices....by the way, when did Supercook (baking stuff) become Dr Oetkerwhich for some strange reason I say in my head in a strange accent....Ve haf Vays of making you talk mwahahaha.

Hello folks
Well, this is late for me! this was my first day back at work after being off for a while. I felt
E X H A U S T ED by lunch time but had a strong coffee to perk me up! Luckily for me, DD had cooked a fab veggie curry for tea and used the squash which we got in a veggie box a coupld of weeks ago (fab), even poured me a glass of wine. OH had finished painting the hall by doing behind the radiator and taking down the clothes rack. So....full of curry and have had 2 glasses of wine and some dark chocolate. DD now setting forth with a cookie recipe yum yum.
Off to read back through the thread now.

You were lucky, I looked like I had one spacehoper up my jumper, and another in the back of my knickers  :rotfl:

I'm watching "It Pays to Watch" and Martin's just said there's a 21% discount on EVERYTHING at IKEA on Saturday. But I can't find anything about it on the website
I don't want it to be a wasted trip, especially because we'll have to rent a van for it......

Melilka - the IKEA 21% sale is mentioned here
I'm having a few minutes off doing some of my school work. I've got a stack of paperwork to do, which seems to be getting put back and back because there's something more pressing to do.... for school! Added to that, I had the Numeracy consultant from the Local Authority to help me today. She's super and has been with me all day. The Local Authority have said that because I didn't have a "proper" NQT year (ie I was in a school where they just left me to it, which didn't bother me but this local authority are actually trying to turn me into an even better teacher - they did say there wasn't a hidden agenda) then they want to offer me more help, which is pretty good. It does mean that it's been pretty full on and I've not only had 27 children to contend with, but also worrying about what Judi was writing in her little notebook. Nothing to worry about at all, as it goes but still.......
I'm rambling now.
As a "special treat" I bought a pizza for supper. I know I shouldn't have done, but well............... erm............... No good excuse m'lud.
Right, Traffic Cops is on now which will complement my target setting fantastically!:rotfl:

Hello everyone :hello:
Not had chance yet to catch up on the past two days' threads, so hope everyone is well. (((HUGS))) to Smoky and anyone else who wants one.
Been busy cleaning/tidying etc, worn out now! OH woke up at 5ish this morn and tossed and turned, so I didn't really sleep well either. Its means that his good run of the last two weeks has stopped, he's been rough today and most likely we'll have a bad night's sleep tonight. Still I'm not really complaining as compared with a year ago this really isn't rough. Remind me of that if I'm moaning in a couple of days time please!
Tea was sausage & HM chips - not really OS but at least I had more time for cleaning. I was going to do spag bol, I've decided to try adding lentils to bulk it out after reading something on here about doing that. I thought I had some cheap lentils in but I must have cleared them out at some point in the past as I've only got puy lentils in, I'm guessing they're too good/pricey to be using in bolognaise.
Right, best get reading....

I thought I'd pop on again to see if PP had posted, as I see not as yet...darling I can see you are not online as yet, but if you are lurking, please come on and let us know how you got on..I am thinking of you.
Smokybabe, I see you are online, do come and let us know how you are doing? Again, I am thinking of you and the wee ones.
Nothing to report here, except the OH is testing out his new wireless headphones and driving me mad...."can you hear this..the lack of bass.." "No, I tell him I can't..."
One hour later and hes still testing them out, I wish he would just send them back..£140 for a pair of headphones and not happy, it would be a very different story if I bought shoes and I worn them for an hour and kept asking him..bless..I think he needs a hobby..wheres the paint!
