Bad timing - story of my life!0 -
Yes its annoying when it happens0

Some credit cards and bundled bank accounts offer 30,45 or 60 day price protection... depends how you paid... you may be lucky. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Thanks for that suggestion! I did try it as I bought with my Amex but I'm only covered for faulty goods not price reductions. So I thought what the heck and rang O2 but no joy. Ah well, live and learn!0

They are still £269 on Apple's own online store, which is a shame, as they don't ask you to sign a pre-contract contract to promise to enter into the O2 airtime contract like they do it CW and O2 shops.0

I think if it is bought within the month they are offering a £100.00 something or other, pop over to hotukdeals as they have a mindwopping 118 pages on this.0 -
Excellent spot by OP. Here's the link to the O2 shop mentioned in a previous post

Hi,
I bought my iPhone 1 month and 2 days before they dropped the price by £100
Does anyone know what the consumer rights I have in this sort of situation? Is there any likelihood that I could get some of the that money back?
Thanks!
Z

Refund only applies if bought in the last 2 weeks apparently so doesn't apply for me.0 -

bought one from o2 store today, no contracts, nothing to sign - paid by card and left.
iirc the only place where you have to sign an agreement is CPW, best to avoid just in case and just buy from an o2 store, there are plenty to go around. I would also recommend using a rarely used card, paying off the balance and canceling the card if u are at all worried about comebacks (i am not bothering as people have been doing this for months with no problems), hope that helps0
