    Morning Everyone

Havent been around for afew days because I have had the most terrible flu. Started with it last Wednesday when I woke up and havent been able to lift my head off my pillow since. Not easy when your looking after a 3yr old. DD has also had it over the weekend but to a much lesser extent than me. DH has been very good but has only done the absolute basics so I have a wash basket piled high. I'm still not 100% but I need to get up and do something before we drown in washing and mess.

    Have a good day everyone

Go over this month. I have been having a little online moan about ASDA putting up the price of their white bred flour from 48p to 75p - I would get the flour now as you don't know if ASDA will drop their price or the others will follow the increase. Best to play it safe:D

Thanks! I'll do that then and hope to save some pennies in the long run. Had better go get ready for the Doctors.....

aawww! My ds has just made me a cuppa and given me a big hug! He's a bit better, so going to have a go at doing his coursework today.

Thought about getting aMr T order today, but nothing that is desperate, so will hold off for another day. Last Mon was trying to do no spends.... I don't think I have since then, so quite pleased. Grocery ££ now not looking too bad.

GOing to go and pull out something warming from the freezer and will just do some mash and maybe a veg with it. Can be meaty as dd is staying on at school for concert. I don't seem to have lost my appetite yet, LOL but didn't fancy porridge this morning,!

    Morning :hello:

((((smoky)))) I wish I could make it easier for you to get used to life without him.

I made a big batch of beef curry last night, had a portion and it was very very nice. Somehow, I also managed to polish off half a small lemon drizzle cake and the remaining half of a bottle of wine. I shouldn't be allowed to spend evenings at home :o :rotfl: What I was supposed to be doing was tidying the flat. Funny how I can take my pick of household chores eh :p

Got another portion of the curry for my lunch at work today.

I am off to the world premiere of a brand new opera tonight. My ticket cost me £5 (standing) :D. I have heard some really good things about it - there's been quite a lot of coverage in the press, and some of my friends went to the dress rehearsal.

Bust the grocery budget yesterday stocking up on bread flour and Asian ingredients from Lidl :o  but was worth it as will work out much better VFM in the long run. Somehow I don't think that a fiver to cover the next three weeks is going to cut it, even if all I need is milk and fresh fruit & veg! I've revised my budget upwards, but it may still go up some more as I am considering paying another visit to Lidl to get more flour. I wouldn't expect the prices to go as high as they have in the bigger supermarkets, but would not be at all surprised if there was a fairly substantial hike.

I did however save myself about £90 (sort of) by chickening out of bidding for a Panasonic SD255 on eBay - the winning bid was £77 with £8.50 postage, and I was all set to try and pip the winning bidder with two seconds to spare - then lost my nerve :o It was in good condition with a 3 month guarantee, and I chickened out on the basis that (a) although I have been saving up for one (one of the reasons for the ridiculously low GC budget this month) I don't quite have the full funds yet, least of all after my Lidl extravaganza ; (b) it's not that much less than a brand new one, though I know it's currently out of stock everywhere; and (c) I am a complete eBay newbie - been signed up for a while, but this would have been my first "win" and I don't understand properly how Paypal works, and I was a bit worried about messing up the transaction! :o Anyway I'm slightly kicking myself this morning

Big squeezy hugs to all in need :)

    Love Rzl xx

(Edited for typos and to say hi to lumpy_bum :hello:)

    Morning All!
((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to Smokey, PenPin and anyone else who needs one.
Lots of flu going about, don't need that after just getting over a relapse!

DS rang me at 6.50, and wanted to come home from his camping trip! Good job it's only 5 miles away:rotfl: They were frozen solid, covered in mud and he couldn't sleep cos a Rooster was crowing:rotfl: He's such a wuss, I've made it too good to be away!!! It was cold here though this morning, frost everywhere. He had a bath and some breakfast, and is now in bed sleeping:rotfl:

Going to see my Dad today, to help him pack for Scotland next week. He's going on a coach trip with some friends. He's going to places he went with with Mamma, only hope it isn't too painful for him.

Got to pack myself for London on Thurs. Can't wait to see the Tutunkahmun exhibition, and of course Joseph on friday night. (Birthday pressie from DD):T

Will tell you all about it when I get back.

    Have a good day all!
