    Morning all

Kyle - your mother in law is the only one losing out in this situation.

Smoky - its still early days, you are coping well, especially with having to help the little 'uns through their loss too.

Well a housework day today as I am at work for the rest of the week. Have got to pop to the bank at some point as I have to re-pay a check in that was sent back to me. My mum decided to put the 8th month down for the date so got her to do me another one yesterday, I think she was getting muddled up with it being '08 this year too!!

Have got our financial adviser popping in this evening to sort us out with a new mortgage as our fixed rate is up. Fingers crossed she comes up with something we can cope with after the turmoil in the financial markets over the last few months.

Weather forecast for Kent before I go, blue skies and frost here atm but will hang some washing out when the machine finishes its cycle.

Have a good day everyone - byeeee

    Morning

((( hugs ))) Smokey, I have two friends who have both lost their husbands very suddenly recently, and all I can do is listen when they want to talk about them. Sometimes a good cry is as good as any medicine.

My cold has kicked in with a vengeance, so am feeling very sorry for myself :D Must drag myself to SW weigh in, I don't think I have lost anything, so it is even harder to make myself go.

Got some steak out for DH dinner, not sure what I want yet - this cold could be good for weight loss ;)

Have a good day everyone x

I'm in need of the hugs today... My ds thought his flu was sooo good he decided to share. He's been off school since the end of last week, recovering, but still coughing badly. Another day or two off won't hurt him. ... I'm aching all over and have a high temperature. Was supposed to be going over to Harrogate for a meeting then to see my wrinklies in Hull, but will have to call and send apologies to all.

Will see you all around today, Will try and do some heavy duty planning from my armchair/bed/sofa, wherever I can find a comfortable space.

Hugs to smokey and the children

back at work today after my hols - feel really bunged up and didn't get to sleep till gone 4 - I am not wearing any make up so my boss will feel sorry for me and send me home.

Inspired by Immoralangel on the DFW board I have made enquiries about volunteering with CAB - the lady rang yesterday to fix up an appointment but I'm not sure now how I'm going to fit it in - they want two half days and I only get one day off at the moment - will talk to boss today - I know that people get paid time off to be magistrates.

well my bike saddle should have thawed out a bit by now - have a good day

    Morning everyone

Smoky ((((hugs)))) to you and your children.
kyle belated birthday wishes to your DS. I agree with Chrisca - only your MIL loses in that situation.
Pen-Pin sorry you are feeling carp today. Hope you pick up soon.

Woke early but feel refreshed so got up (even though this is my only day off this week  ), stripped my bed and the bedding is now in the WM. Sun was shining when I got up but has disappeared now so looks like the TD will need to be used.

Need to pop into office later to check phone calls, e-mails, post, etc. Will be sooo glad when boss gets back.

Will get BM on shortly. Stocked up on lots of strong white flour after reading yesterday's thread on ASDA putting flour prices up by 50% in three days.
Also watched the programme on BBC1 last night about the credit crunch. It's going to be a tough year for everyone, methinks.

Will make some chilli today and freeze some. Might bake some cakes for DS and DD. May need some myself after I help DD with her "Jungle" Art project for school.

Have a tremendous Tuesday all. xx

Massive ((((((hugs)))))) to PENPIN, CHARLIESMUM, PURPLEIVY and STEFEJIB - hope you all start feeling better soon. PENPIN - it's such a shame you will miss the trip out today. Have a good time with your friend.

I can't believe the flu is doing the rounds again, especially after all the bugs over the winter.

Well, I've had my shower so I must get some more housew**k done so see you all later.

Morning N9eav, Rhysdad & everyone else.
Rhysdad, what's a CRM250R? Or am I just being thick as usual.

No you're not being thick, it's a Japanese import Honda 250cc trail bike and it's costing me a fortune. The least MSE thing i've ever done.

It is very good fun though............;):j:j

    Mornin' everyone

Have only just got up so only thing that has been done is is DW and that's only because OH put it on before he went to work!

Must get a move on though as I want to go down town and to the library today.

Didn't do much yesterday either as I was all stiff and achey, self inflicted though, we went to rollerworld in Derby on sunday and I was roller skating for 2 hours! (did I care that I was the oldest one on skates. noooooooooo)

Chicken pie with the leftover chicken for tea tonight and whatever veg I can find.

(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one
