Not fair! Loads of you have got your rejection email, and I haven't. Is there no justice? Do I not count as well? Why is my 49p not as good as yours? It just won't do. I really must find someone to complain to..............

I don't thinks it's about getting the telly for 49p, It's about waking companies like argos up. Argos seem to make too many of these pricing errors for it to be just a "Mistake"....They should of learnt from their mistakes first time round, If people don't speak up against them now then they are just going to carry on making their "mistakes" and and pocketing the extra money from the interest earned on OUR money.

    that is exactly the point

they have just found another avenue to do what they damn well please and flout the law and will keep unfairly advertising or not at very least not taking care to advertise accurately and again, borrow our funds for a few days making interest as long as they can get away with it

  • what constitutes a 'reasonable time' to inform customers of the pricing error - they new 2 days ago of the error, correcting the website and yet I along with many others have still not recieved an email cancelling my order.

Nothing in my junk folder, like others i haven't had an e-mail from homebase,

What i think is that they are sorting out the argos ones first as they were the first to do the pricing error, then they will get around to doing the homebase ones.

Since today is the first working day, I think its pretty reasonable for a company to look into the issues, get legal advice, formulate a reply, find out the people affected, then notify them.

Lets take this to the extreme, small retail shop in business for about 60 years uses the internet to sell a few goods. Price error occurs on the site (down to problems with there outsourced ecommerce site.)
Details of tents for £0 gets published on the internet. Company is forced by some law to try to fulfil this order from 1000s of people ordering tents for £0. Company, of course, goes bust.
Whats going to happen. Small business's close up any form of ecommerce, major business's tighten up so much that it becomes unviable for them to operate.

I find it really quite pathetic the "money for nothing" attitude being displayed here. This retailer has done all that is required of it by law (It has set things to rights). No contract has been entered into, you have lost nothing, but cost the retailer lots of money sorting this out.

Move on, find the next proper bargain, and don't waste time and money chasing fools gold.
