Just waiting for the inevitable e-mail from Homebase now . My union legal adviser has said they will take on an individual action through a court of law on the basis of
" breach of contract " . I would have thought they know what they are doing , just need to really see whether I should or not . I'm not bothered over the TV any more but the principal of e-commerce trading being clarified once & for all.

Thats whats annoyed me over the whole thing, also argos keep doing this, and getting away with it. it will take one strong (and possibly rich) person to take them to court once and then at least that might stop all of this mis-pricing things all the time.

Well i got my email confirming cancelation and informing that a refund will be made, but would like to join in with a point already made here.
I went to argos on wednesday and bought a 20" tv, cheapest they had at £77.00. Paid my money waited in que and it came down the conveyor belt. Man checked it and put it over. Two assistants called me over double checked the reciepts, stamped it and informed me this was my guarantee. I put telly in car and drove home. When I was home I noticed that although it was the same make I had ordered this was a 21" super duper tv about £120.00 .Argos have not phoned me asking for that back, so why cancel my other tv order ? Two mistakes in the one week ,tut tut.
Me thinks that argos make up the rules to suit themselves, as trading standards rules are different fom theirs.Any company can state what their purchase agreement is but wether it complies with our trading rights is a different matter.

All the e-mails that have come through seem to be from argos, has anyone received one yet from homebase?

I phoned my Credit card to make sure money was taken and not just reserved, and it was taken.

But before I could ask that question it turned out I had two other cards one was authorised that I had never recieved? so I have had to cancel them all including the one I used to order, wonder what will happen if they try a refund now?
